from the ManagerOn behalf of the entire Park City Club staff, we hope you are safe and well.
The State of Texas released protocols for phased resumption of business operations in Texas on Monday, April 27th. For the safety of our members and staff, and as conditions allow, Park City Club plans to resume in-club dining Monday, May 18. Until then, the Club is providing takeout services only through May 16. We plan to continue our popular Curbside menu into the summer months.
Once we resume in-club dining, reservations will be required through the end of June. Due to social distancing measures and the number of people allowed in the Club under the new guidelines, events in private rooms will be available on a limited basis for the next few weeks. Please contact Hala in Catering for additional information.
While we assess the proximity implications of social distancing, and restrictions to members’ physical access to buffets as outlined by the state, we will offer menu service only through the end of June. Generous table spacing will ensure proper distancing is provided when you dine in the Club. We are working hard to ensure the Club is clean, sanitized, and ready for your return. All decisions regarding future Club operations are made with your safety, and that of our staff, in mind.
It’s hard to believe just a year ago the Easter Bunny was busy welcoming 770 members and guests enjoying Brunch at the Club. While so many things have changed, we were glad to remain part of your Easter tradition again this year. Over 600 members and guests enjoyed Easter Brunch from the Club, only this year it was in the comfort of your homes.
We salute our mothers, the heart of every home. And this year, it looks like home is where a majority will celebrate the moms who raise us, motivate us, inspire us, and love us.
You can see the Mother’s Day takeout menu on the front page of our website. It is also included in this bulletin.
It is almost certain as businesses begins to resume operations it will not be all at once, or at 100% of where we left off. These are difficult times for you, your businesses, and for the Club. Navigating these troubled waters calls for making tough decisions that impact our staff and our members. One of those decisions is to forego the club’s annual Summer Certificate program this year so we may begin to heal financially. Summer Certificates will return next year, but until then, please feel free to use the birthday and anniversary certificates you’ve received, even though the date may have passed. We will gladly honor them when you dine in the Club.
As I wrote recently, we miss you. We hope you stay safe and well. And we look forward to the day soon approaching that we can be together again in our beautiful Club.
On behalf of the Owners, Board of Governors, and the entire staff, we truly appreciate your continued support. More than ever, I look forward to seeing you at the Club!
Michael Davis, CCM, CCE
I hope that all of our members are doing well and staying healthy! Last month has been a very busy one for Catering, but in an unusual way. Normally, we are planning around 50-60 corporate and social events weekly for our members. However, our work load has shifted to helping relocate many events to later months, which has been challenging not knowing what the future may hold. We have been doing all we can to make this process flow as painlessly as possible. While it is an unplanned situation, a lot of our members and brides are looking forward to the time when we return to our new normal. But for now, Park City Club is focused on the health and safety of our members, employees, families, and loved ones. And behind the scenes, we are working diligently on new and exciting things to debut when we are back in the Club.
greetings from Park City Club Catering

The new view from my officeMy view has changed a bit from what I normally see every day at the Club, so I thought I’d share a little bit about my daily life now. Like many people, I am now working from my dining room table. I included a picture of me at my “desk.” Luckily, my husband Brian works in the technology field, so I have my own IT guy at my home office.
We are both working from home with our two teenage sons in the house as well. Our younger son, Brooks, fills his days with online schooling through HPISD and video games. Our older son, Cameron, is home from Texas A&M attending classes via Zoom. We are all making adjustments to try to give each other space to work and relax. I had forgotten feeding two teen boys is a never-ending task.
I certainly appreciate all the kind things our wonderful members have shared with us. I miss seeing you all during lunch. Even though we can’t see each other face-to-face at the moment, I am still available via email or phone to help answer any questions or to take any referrals. I am pleased to report that we have had some new members join in the past month who look forward to meeting everyone as soon as they can.
Thank you again for making Park City Club such a special place! I look forward to seeing you again soon.

When the club opens, we are ready to go. It is like family and I miss it. I remember our first Thanksgiving at the club you all made it feel like a family atmosphere and I have loved being there since.Mary Lou Fleming
We really want to give the whole crew at PCC a huge thank you for making our Easter Sunday very special. Picking up the food was so easy and efficient and the teamwork of the employees made all of it appear to be seamless, although we know better! The dinner couldn’t have been better. It was wonderful—thank you to the kitchen staff. All in all, it made our Easter very special. Thank you all for once again taking such good care of all of us. - Barbara & Brad Camp
Kudos and many thanks to all for the ability to order Easter dinner for our family. We are thrilled and thank everyone for this extra effort for the members.Margaret and David Briggs

We take our bearings, daily, from others. To be sane is, to a great extent, to be sociable.-John Updike
Hello! I’ve been working from home since March 23, getting used to a new way of life and work while settling into a new apartment. I’ve enjoyed extra time for decorating and starting over in a new space, but cabin fever is settling in, especially now that spring weather is here and I’m also a travel nut. Quarantining solo is truly the opposite of working in a busy club environment where my job is all things social. However, I’ve been keeping up with friends and celebrated my April birthday virtually with 20+ friends on Zoom, the popular videoconference platform. My Arkansas family even “gathered” on Zoom for Easter, which was fun and even more special this year. I’ve been doing my best to stay in touch with our members and keep you informed about club operations, takeout options, and the virtual events we’ve been hosting. Most importantly, we just want to stay connected. We consider our members friends and an extended family, and we really have missed seeing you at the Club, hosting your parties and meetings, seeing your smiles, and having fun with you at member events. Two months ago we had just launched a March/April newsletter packed full of fun events for the spring, only to have those events sidelined, concerts and outings postponed, and the Arkansas trip canceled for now. Fortunately, most of what we had planned will be able to be rescheduled in the coming months as circumstances allow. I have outlined the status of our previously-scheduled major events below. The next few months will be a little uncertain as we adjust to initially operating under social distancing protocols, so we will ease back into events as the summer progresses into fall and it’s safe and feasible to have more in-person activities and outings. This also includes recurring events such as Chautauquas, Chicago Bridge, Investors Club, Women’s Exchange events, wine dinners, and live happy hour entertainment. As you can see in this issue, we have a mix of virtual events as well as live events scheduled as the club reopens. Stay tuned to your emails and text messages as well as our website for continual updates.
Our takeout orders have been steady (keep ‘em coming!) and we have received so many calls, emails, and handwritten notes expressing care and concern for our staff and that you miss the Club; it has been incredibly heartwarming. We can’t thank you enough for your ongoing support and can’t wait to see you again in the coming weeks. The Club will be a very safe place to visit; our members’ welfare is our top priority. Please contact me anytime with questions, suggestions, or feedback. Take care and I’ll see you soon!Julie Hinterthuer, Member Relations [email protected] 214-360-7612

Checking in with waiters Max and RubenEveryone has been kindly asking about our staff and their welfare over the past several weeks. You’ll often see evening waiters Max and Ruben when you pick up an order curbside, still delivering service with a smile, even from behind a mask. We recently asked them how they’ve been spending their time outside of work.
Max: During the quarantine I have been cooking Peruvian food, especially my favorite dish, ceviche. I have also spent some time with my family and my three golden retrievers. We are enjoying the company of our daughter, who has come back home from Texas A&M University at Commerce. I hope everyone is doing great. I miss all of you, and I hope to see you soon so I can serve your favorite dish and drink. Take care, Max
Ruben: When I’m not working, I’ve been helping take care of one of my granddaughters, London Adelina. It’s been fun to spend this time with her. I look forward to seeing our members back in the club in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I’ll meet you at the curb! Ruben
