SPECPATH MY REPORTS – MFG – SUMMARY REPORT –HOW-TO GUIDE & FIELD CHARTS

Summary Report – How-To Guide and Field Charts Getting Started

The Summary Report lets you work with report fields and filters you define and shows you a preview of your report. Here you can create and download exports of your event data as it is received and stored within SpecPath.

    1. Sign in to your SpecPath account. 2. Open the My Reports module from the navigation pane along the left-hand side

    of the screen.

    3. Under Report Layout click on the Summary Report radio button and then click NEXT to create your report.

    4. The Report Parameter Fields are organized by category (Project, Brand, Item, Consultant, etc.). Locate the fields you want by scrolling through the categories, then drag and drop them into the Report Preview pane to add them to the report as columns of data. The order in which you drag and drop the fields is the order in which they will appear as columns in the final report. The column order will also be displayed above and below the Report Preview pane. Above, your selections will appear in order via orange parameter boxes. Below, your selections will appear in a sample report table. *If you need to rearrange a dropped parameter field, depress and hold the left click mouse button over the parameter and with your mouse drag it to the desired location and then unclick your left mouse button. You’ll now be able track the location using the orange parameter boxes at the top of the preview pane. Once you have it hovered over the desired location, click and release the left click button on your mouse.

    5. Now that you’ve chosen the parameter columns that will appear on your report you have the option to filter those parameters. Using filters is an optional report step. If no filters are needed you can proceed by clicking NEXT at the top right of the report page.

    6. Under each category you’ll find a set of filters that can be chosen to customize your report. These filters represent the data that will appear in the columns created from steps 4 & 5. If you utilize no filter, your report will return all data for that filter category.

    7. Now that you have chosen your report parameters and filters you’ll be able to preview those selections in the Report Overview section on the left side of your screen. If any changes are needed, simply click the Back button to make those adjustments.

    8. If no further updates are need you can now generate your report by clicking on the green Run Report button on the top right of the Report Overview page.

    9. Once the report has been generated it will appear onscreen. You will also have these options – Save Template, Export to CSV and Export to PDF.

These templates can be edited and saved under the existing name or a new name which will then create an additional template to be added to your My Templates dropdown menu.

The Save Template feature allows you to create and save your own custom reports for future use without having to re-build them. Once saved, they will always be available under My Templates unless you delete them. Your report templates can be saved to be visible only to you or to everyone at your company. Saved templates, edited and saved under the existing name, will replace your original report template to include your changes. You can also save the template with a new name which will create a new report template which added to your My Templates dropdown menu.

*IMPORTANT: Overwriting My Templates: If you save any changes under an existing Template Name those changes will take affect for any/all users under the Template Visibility level you have chosen.

To Create and Save a My Templates Report
