HOUSEHOLD SPECIAL WASTEAll of the following may be taken to the Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off and deposited in designated bins:
HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES:Also recycle at participating grocers, pharmacies, hardware stores and service stations island-wide.
VEHICLE BATTERIES AND MOTOR OIL:Also at service stations island-wide.PAINTS, PESTICIDES AND ANYTHING MARKED WITH A HAZARDOUS LABELCall 501-3024 or 501-3025 for further information
RECYCLINGTAG – tin cans, aluminium cans, glass bottles. (See flip side for details).
E-WASTECellphones and cellphone batteries can be recycled at service providers. Recycle CPUs, laptops, commercial loads of eWaste by appointment. Call 501-3043 or email [email protected] for further information.
AIR CONDITIONERS (Household)Recycle at Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off.

REDUCE › REUSE › RECYCLEWaste Management collaborates with Bermuda’s green NGOs to offer learning opportunities to schools, households and businesses. Tours, lunch and learns and hands on activities available.

PUBLIC DROP-OFF FACILITIESAIRPORT WASTE MANAGEMENT FACILITY:Cahow Way, St. Georges.Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. until 12 noon, closed on Sunday.
This is an industrial site, absolutely no fishing or riding of cycles. Accepts metal waste, rubble, appliances, tyres, construction and demolition debris only. NO SCAVENGING PERMITTED

MARSH FOLLY COMPOSTING FACILITY:Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke. Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Commercial drop-off closed from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday 7:30 a.m. until noon, closed SundayAccepts horticultural waste, animal carcasses and food waste only. Call 292-7454 or 292-1517 for enquiries.
TYNES BAY PUBLIC DROP-OFF:Palmetto Road, Devonshire. Open 7:00am until 7:00pm seven days a week. On Public holidays from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Closed on Christmas DayThis is a free waste disposal service available to the drivers of private cars, L and LP vehicles with a maximum of 4 bags of household garbage, accepting all household waste, small metal waste, wooden items, recyclables, electronic waste, waste paint, used motor oil, fluorescent tubes, CFLs and batteries. Call 296-0673 for enquiries.

GARBAGE: Collected once a week by zone, 1 – 5. To prevent rodents, store bagged garbage in lidded bins at your residence. Move to curb for collection on scheduled day only. Use only lidded bins or sealed plastic bags. Paper bags and boxes fall apart.
Recycling and Christmas tree collection are divided into eastern and western zones:
West: All areas of Sandys, Southampton, Warwick and Paget parishes and the following areas of Devonshire: Tee Street and Kent Avenue.
East: All areas of St. George’s, Hamilton, Smith’s, Pembroke and Devonshire parishes – not including Tee Street and Kent Avenue.
RECYCLING: Collected every other week on Thursday in the west and Friday in the east. TAG (Tin, Aluminium, Glass)
recycling. Rinse, place in blue bin, or clear or blue recycling bags and put out for collection every other week per calendar. To report missed collections call 501-3043, or email [email protected]. Join www.facebook.com/recyclebermuda.
CHRISTMAS TREES: Composted to make fertilizer.
Remove tinsel, nails and ornaments and place outside on your scheduled day. Do not use a tree bag.
WEST END: Collection Day – Saturday, 16th January 2021. EAST END: Collection Day – Saturday, 23rd January, 2021. ANIMAL AND HUMAN FAECES: Must not be put in the garbage. Animal waste must be either flushed down the toilet, or dried out, wrapped in newspaper, placed in a plastic bag and disposed of in the bin at Tynes Bay Drop-Off
ALL HUMAN FAECES MUST BE FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET. PLEASE DON’T PLACE WASTE IN FRONT OF YOUR MAILBOX.
