2021-22 SC&D Calendar of Observances

Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) School Climate & Discipline (SC&D) Department’s Calendar of Observances shares prevention related dates of significance. Use these dates as a jumping-off point for prevention related lessons, school/community events, or to maintain your students' commitment to prevention year-round. Observances are excellent tools to educate and excite your students to action.

Within the calendar are links to lessons and/or the observance’s website. Please note the exact observance dates may change year to year, so use the founding organization’s link to confirm and access relevant lessons. SC&D’s goal is to lead the change for all BCPS students in achieving lifelong academic, behavioral, social and emotional success. This goal is achieved by providing essential resources, services, and supports grouped into the 6 strands of prevention and intervention:
