For maximum safety, please follow our drop-off and pick-up system. During thedesignated times, staff is on duty to usher students to and from cars.

★ Morning Drop-off Times

○ Monday—Friday(Grades 1-6 and KindergartenEarly Birds): Breakfast (MPR) 7:45 – 8:15, Front ofschool- 8:15-8:30 am

○ Kindergarten Late Bird 10:15 (Kindergarten gate)

★ Afternoon Pick-up Times:

○ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (Grades 1-6 begins at 3 p.m.

■ Kindergarten Early Birds 12:15 and Late Birds 2:15

○ Wednesday begins at 1:30 pm

■ Kindergarten Early Birds 12:15 and Late Birds 2:15

Directions● At pick-up while cars are lining up in drive lanes in the parking lot, students are called

from their class lines by name via microphones.

● Students walk to the pick-up loading zone until the car is at thefront of the line. A staff member will then direct the child to the car.

● When available, staff will assist with unloading and loadingstudents. Do not encourage students to approach the car.

● Do not leave your car for any reason.

● Exit drive lanes by making a right turn only, heading westboundonto mirador. Be mindful of the cross walks

Driveway guidelinesPlease be patient—the system works, and it’s safe and efficient.

● Do not use cell phones or read in the drive lanes.● Pay attention to your place in line. Do not change lanes.● Be alert to pedestrians, school buses, and other● parents who are dropping off or picking up.● Carpools are parent-organized and maintained.● Remember to communicate with drivers about carpool

changes.

Pick-up Placards

● Your child brought home a lime green placard (paper) that hadstudent detailed information (i.e. name, teacher, and grade level)to assist with dismissal. Please use this placard when pickingyour child up for dismissal.

● The placard should be placed on the dashboard of your vehicle(or visor), and the placards must display the names of all studentsto be picked up.

● When you enter the drive lanes, have your pick-up placard visible through thewindshield. The placard must be in place until your child is in the car. It can also be usedto help our staff when locating your child.

Parents on foot at pick-up and the parents waiting area● Do not stand on the grass to pick up your child. Parents must stand on the sidewalk

waiting area in front of the school. Please display the student’s name card so staff cancall your student from the line-up areas. Cars have priority.

Pedestrian Entry (See image Below)

● Student safety is our priority, when you arrive forstudent dismissal, please make sure to follow allsafety and traffic laws.

● The preferred pedestrian entrance is on ChandonPlace and Mirador Dr. You will also find apedestrian entrance on Serena place.

● You’ll find pedestrian lanes marked in yellow onthe southwest and southeast sides of the parkinglot.

● Please be mindful of pedestrians (students and adults) that are entering and exiting ourschool campus boundaries. Please assist us by paying close attention to our crosswalksand give the right of way whenever possible. This will ensure that our students andfamilies are safe when entering and exiting our school campus.

● Please walk with your child(ren) in the pedestrian lane.

● Do not drop off children on the mirador sidewalk alone.

● Do not jaywalk on any city streets.

Late for pick-up?Students not picked up by 3:25 p.m. (M,T,TH,F) and 1:45 p.m. (W) will automatically be sent tothe front office
