REASONS TO SPONSOR
We believe community begins with conversation.
We believe that when people respect and know how to communicate with others who are different from them, everyone benefits.
What We Do
NCCJ works to build communities free of bias, bigotry and racism. We promote understanding and respect among all cultures, races, and religions through advocacy, education, and dialogue. We specialize in human relations and leadership training for young people and adults.
Our flagship program is ANYTOWN, a week-long youth leadership program that brings high school students together to tackle tough questions about issues like race, gender, religion and more while building community with a diverse group of their peers.
Throughout the school year, we work with students and educators to build more inclusive, respectful school environments.
We’ve Worked With:
• Students in public and independent schools in Guilford County and beyond
• Educators at schools including NC A&T, High Point University, Davidson County Community College, and Greensboro Day School
• Businesses like Syngenta, Replacements, Ltd., Cone Health Foundation, and Genworth Financial
• Government including the City of Greensboro, the Greensboro Police Department, and the State of North Carolina
• Community groups like the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Elsewhere, the International Visitor Leadership Program, GreenHill, and various houses of worship
Questions? Want to know more about our programs? We would love to hear from you. Contact us at (336) 272-0359 or [email protected]

R MISSION
To build compassionate
and just communities free of bias, bigotry,
and racism
Public events across the nation and around the world look different right now. For the health and safetyof our guests, the Citation Award Dinner will take place virtually this year on Wednesday, November 11.We invite you to join us for an inspiring evening of celebrating our community’s commitment to diversity and inclusion in solidarity with community and business leaders from across the Triad.
Flow of the evening5:45pm –Virtual reception6:45pm – Virtual program begins8:00pm – Virtual program ends
While this year’s Dinner will look different, the important things remain the same. Just like we do every year, NCCJ will present the Brotherhood/Sisterhood Citation Award to leaders in our community in recognition of their extraordinary humanitarian work to make our community a better place for all of us – not just some of us. Also, we can still share a meal “together,” as each ticketholder and guest of a sponsor will have the option to receive a voucher for a takeout meal from a locally owned restaurant.*
This year, we are proud to honor Mary Humphrey Kendrick of Greensboro and Rev. Dr. Frank K. Thomas of High Point. Visit nccjtriad.org/citation to learn more about Kendrick and Thomas and see a list of all past Citation Award Honorees.
The Citation Award Dinner is NCCJ’s major annual fundraiser, providing nearly half of the funds we need to sustain and grow our work of fighting bias, bigotry and racism. Demand for NCCJ’s work has skyrocketed this year. We look forward to sharing our mission and showcasing some of the work that’s made possible thanks to the generous support of people like you.
