DAY 1: DEPART FOR THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

DAY 2–3: DUBAI, U.A.E.The largest emirate in the U.A.E., dynamic Dubai is a futuristic wonderland and, � ttingly, home to the World Expo in late 2020. Stroll the glamorous boardwalk of Palm Jumeirah Island for coastline views, indulge in a shopping spree at the famous Gold Souq, and catch bird’s-eye views from Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

DAY 4: KHASAB, OMANThe � shing port of Khasab, the “Norway of Arabia,” offers access to a rare vista of isolated desert fjords. Join a dhow excursion to the Musandam Peninsula to see bottlenose and humpback dolphins in this sublime landscape, or stay shoreside to visit the picturesque Khasab Castle.

DAY 5: FUJAIRAH, U.A.E.Situated at the foot of the Hajjar Mountain range, Fujaira presents opportunities for trekking on a desert safari and deep-sea � shing. Visit East Coast attractions such as the 300-year-old Fujairah Fort, or simply relax with a cocktail at a beach resort.

DAY 6: MUSCAT, OMANA delightful respite from this region’s � ashier tourist destinations, Muscat’s beauty showcases Omani charm rather than glitz. Seek out antiques and handicrafts among the treasures of the maze-like Muttrah Souq, venture into the atmospheric old town to visit the sixteenth-century forts Al Jalali and Mirani, and see the fanciful Al Alam Palace.

DAY 7: AT SEA

DAY 8: AL BAHRAIN, BAHRAINBahrain, the “Island of Pearls,” is an archipelago of thirty-three islands in the Persian Gulf. Travel to UNESCO-listed sites like Bahrain Fort, whose origins date to 2200 BC, and the fascinating Pearling Path in Muharraq, which preserves the history of a culture built on harvesting pearls.

DAY 9: DOHA, QATARDoha’s sleek, jagged city skyline is like no other—stroll the Corniche for excellent views of this energetic metropolis from the waterfront, and stop off at the Museum of Islamic Art. Shopping is an exhilarating cultural adventure at Souq Waqif—make your way through its alleyways to must-see Falcon Souq for a glimpse of Qatari falconry traditions.

DAY 10: SIR BANI YAS, U.A.E.The island of Sir Bani Yas is home to the Arabian Wildlife Park, a nature reserve and a refuge for endangered animals of the U.A.E., Africa, and other countries. See big game on the meticulously restored savanna, or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Sir Bani Yas Cruise Beach.

DAY 11: ABU DHABI, U.A.E.Abu Dhabi is a proud city of sophistication and elegance. Its Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the largest mosque in the U.A.E., is a marvel of beauty and inventive design. See the innovative Louvre Abu Dhabi museum, opened in 2017, or head to UNESCO-listed Al Ain Oasis to stroll beneath the cool canopy of date palms and mango trees.

DAY 12: DUBAI, U.A.E.Disembark in Dubai.
