On behalf of Spring Creek Baptist Church and myself, I’d like to welcome you to our 2020 Missions Conference. We are glad to have you with us this week.

Our church families have been praying for you specifically over the past several months. We hope we can be a blessing to you and your family this week. The hard work of your service does not go unnoticed here, and your personal sacrifice for the mission field is a testament of your love for Christ and a blessing to us.

May you receive much fruit for your labor.

Love in Christ,

Pastor Jason Watford

Bryan and Kris Baggett have invested over a decade of their lives to serve those who serve at home and abroad. Commissioned by the Bible Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN and serving with Baptist International Missions, Inc., we will be assisting in the directorship of US Military Ministries. We will be partnering with over 90 missionaries worldwide to start churches near military installations and reach our service men and women with the good news of Jesus Christ, giving hope and support to their families who sacrifice daily for the defense of our great nation.

Bryan Baggett, a native of the Ft. Campbell area, was able to meet dozens and dozens of soldiers during his youth as his family endeavored to invite young GI’s into their home as a refuge from the struggles of Army life. Bible Baptist Church was the center of his family’s life and ministry to these young men. At the age of 19, Bryan trusted Christ as his personal Savior and began studying for the ministry. It was in college that he met his wife, Kris. Together with their two children, they have served the Lord for over 26 years, both in foreign countries and in the states. Most recently he resigned from being the Senior Pastor for ten years of his home church, Bible Baptist, to step into the full-time ministry to the US Military.

In June 2000, I was called to assume the role of pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Anome. In the new church I was responsible for everything (Sunday school, the Sunday worship, prayer meeting, and the new believers class). God blessed the work and the first members baptized were 5, one man and four women. More than 15 people were ready to get baptized before my leaving for the United States. The attendance every Sunday was 50 adults and 60 children. While I was the pastor of the church of Anome, I assumed also the role of chairman of the committee of the youth for the seven Bible Baptist churches of Lome. During the time of my leadership, the committee organized the countryside by means of evangelism in churches of Lome to bring people to Christ. We had conferences with national pastors teaching the youth. In the course of my Christian life, I have helped plant several churches in the capital of Togo and throughout the country. I married Rose Amevi Akouesso on April 6, 2002 and we are blessed with four children. Our first child, a son Samuel, was born in Togo, West Africa on June 20, 2003. Our second, a daughter Lydia, was born in North Carolina on April 1, 2005. Our third, a son Emmanuel Joshua, was born in North Carolina on March 17, 2008 and our fourth, a son Joel Mawuko was born in Togo on February 16, 2010.

Caleb grew up in a Baptist pastor's home. His dad led him to Christ. God burdened his heart for missions early. At the age of nine, God used the testimony of a missionary to begin directing his heart toward Africa and the Republic of Congo. He graduated from West Coast Baptist College in 2016 and completed a year of advanced missionary training at Bible Baptist Translators Institute. He has made several trips to the Republic of Congo in order to begin learning the language and culture.

Kelci grew up in a Christian home and was led to the Lord by her father as a child. She grew up involved in ministry in her home church. God led her to pursue a nursing degree and in 2015 she graduated with a degree in nursing. Caleb and Kelci met at church and God knit their hearts together. They are excited to follow God's call as church planting missionaries in the Republic of Congo.

They are sent out of Victory Baptist Church of Roseburg, Oregon and Lord willing will complete deputation by the end of Summer of 2020.

Growing up in a Marine Corps family, I often moved to new places, but I always considered Jacksonville, NC to be “where I grew up.” At 21 years of age, I joined the Marine Corps and found myself lost, empty and looking for purpose. Knowing that I needed to find God, I stumbled into a place called Charity Baptist Church. It was there that I was saved in January of 1995. Within a year, I met my wife Misty and had decided to answer God’s call on my life to serve him. I served as the superintendent of the Malachi Boy’s School, a home for troubled boys and as an assistant pastor at Amazing Grace Baptist Church before attending Bible College to better train for the ministry.

After Bible College, God led me to start a church in my hometown of Jacksonville, NC. I have had the distinct privilege of pastoring the wonderful people of Coastline Baptist Church for 13 years. Over the last several years God started dealing with my heart about missions and starting churches in very needy areas. God has shown me the great need in Puerto Rico for soul-winning and Bible-preaching churches. I have once again answered the call and am working to get to Puerto Rico as soon as possible to start churches.

Our Missions Program • Spring Creek Baptist Church supports 23

missionaries.

• Each of these missionaries have

presented their work to our church.

• Every March, we start our new Missions

Commitment for the year.

• You will never be asked personally for

your offering. It is a voluntary offering. It

is given in obedience to the command of

Christ in Acts 1:8, “…and ye shall be

witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and

in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the

uttermost part of the earth.”

• Missions Commitment is an amount

above your regular tithes that you

promise to give to help reach the lost

world.

I was raised in a home with Christian values. It was not the typical Christian home in which church was faithfully attended. I didn't become serious about church attendance until I was 13 years old. My parents did not go with me to church, but I was blessed with a Pastor and church family that encouraged me to come. At a young age I made a profession of faith, but I doubted my salvation for several years, until at the age of 18 I truly accepted Christ as my Savior. While attending Bible College I worked for Chick-fil-a. During my time there I quickly moved up in the company and at age 19 I became a General Manager. I quickly began pursuing a corporate job at the Atlanta office. The next 10 years of my career were all planned out. Yet the more I pursued my personal plans, the more God made clear it was not His will for my life. After much prayer I turned my position over, and went back to Bible School for a Secondary Education Degree. During my second semester back at school we took a missions trip to the Dominican Republic. Over the years, through my travels, I have sought the Lord prayerfully for His direction where He would have me serve Him. As I prayed for the Dominican Republic it became very clear this would be the home of my labor of love. Now in obedience to the Lord I am arranging and preparing my life for ministry in the Dominican Republic.
