The Magazine in a NutshellMy Job Depends On Ag Magazine is an agricultural publication focused on Ag businesses, Ag Equipment, and Ag News. It is heavily distributed throughout the farming community. The magazine is available in more than 1,200 locations throughout California alone, and we also distribute directly to thousands more readers through email and direct mail subscriptions. With more than 20,000 copies sent out each month, we continue to grow daily. Our magazine is part of a growing publishing company called Ag Expo Mag Publications, and together we look forward to creating more content and editions as we continue to grow.
Beyond the MagazineWe collaborate with our clients to build a marketing strategy customized to their particular needs. The Publisher in a NutshellI was raised in Ag. I have worked in Ag. I have more than 20 years of background in Ag. And I understand Ag Businesses like yours. I understand the importance of the Ag community, the people, and the businesses. My goal will always be to help and support them as best I can.
My dad depends on Ag too; he worked his way up the ladder through a tractor parts company. And as a 5-year-old, I remember pretending to be just like my father when I visited him at work. I would scroll through old and dusty 3-inch thick binders of catalogs, pretending to look up information and sell parts to imaginary customers. He was my role model and my hero; he was Batman. And what’s really the difference between a superhero and your father when you are so young anyways?
As I grew up, I discovered I had a real passion and energy in marketing strategy. Over the past 10 years, I worked diligently to develop the knowledge I now have in order to share it with others within and outside of the Ag community. I have been on your side of the desk. I know the problems you face when trying to decide between so many marketing possibilities. I know the stress it can be trying to use, measure, analyze and understand all the option. I know how complicated it can be just to even start the process. I created this company with the goal to help business with just that, so you can get back to doing what you want to focus on the most – growing your company and taking care of your customers.
I have learned that marketing strategies and platforms are like tools on a tool belt (Utility Belt?), and I have learned how to govern and optimize their efficiency for different businesses. A WORD FROM OUR PARTNERS
New Agriculture Show, “American Grown: My Job Depends On Ag,” Coming To ValleyPBS This FallValleyPBS will air a new series this fall, co-produced by 18THIRTY Entertainment, exploring agricul-ture in the United States entitled, American Grown: My Job Depends on Ag. The program will be an unbiased, in-depth look at the issues that inspired the Facebook group-turned-movement, the future of the industry, and the stories of how agriculture touches us all far beyond the table, from the clothes we wear to the roof over our heads.
The show is slated to start in September, airing Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. after Valley’s Gold, build-ing upon the success of ValleyPBS’ other locally-produced ag show about area crops. American Grown will follow PBS’ trusted journalistic standards to tell the stories of people in agriculture, giving voice to multiple sides on important matters impacting the industry.
“With a movement so big in our backyard, evoking passionate emotions from all points of view, ValleyPBS wanted to impartially explore these issues and the thread that binds seemingly uncon-nected jobs to this driver of our nation’s economy,” said Jenny Toste, CEO of ValleyPBS. “It fits perfectly with our mission to tell the Valley’s stories in an uninterrupted, long-form way that educates our viewers to encourage them make their own informed decisions.”
The show will be co-produced by 18THIRTY Entertainment, through the lens and storytelling of writer and director Jeff Aiello. 18THIRTY is a production partner with ValleyPBS on the series Outside and the documentary Silent Sacrifice, both of which have been distributed nationally in more than 230 markets.
“American Grown is a show that we believe will go national as well. We’re giving a voice to the untold stories of agriculture because it touches all of us in ways we don’t even know,” said Jeff Aiello, owner of 18THIRTY Entertainment. “When I saw how quickly the My Job Depends on Ag movement spread, I knew it had hit on something that resonated with a lot of people, and we needed to do a television show exploring those issues.”
Each episode will tackle different topics, such as women in agriculture, water bills, immigration, the future of family farms, and the rise of industrialized ag. American Grown will complement the many ways ValleyPBS is covering ag in the Valley, including airing regional ag shows on Sunday mornings, producing water documentaries like Tapped Out and the upcoming Sinking Cities, and ag education in conjunction with Valley’s Gold.
