2020 Lavaca County Awards and Scholarships Video Submission Instructions You are required to submit a 3-5-minute telling us the following:
1) Introduce yourself and tell which awards/scholarships you are applying for. You will only submit one video.
2) Why are you a member of 4-H?3) What is your favorite project and why?4) Tell us about your leadership experiences?5) Tell us about your community service activities?6) How would you encourage another young person to join 4-H?7) What would it mean to you to receive this award?8) Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
You will upload your video to YouTube. You may set your video as unlisted (not private) to ensure privacy of your video which will allow only those with the link to view the upload. Please copy the YouTube link and email it to [email protected] and place the words "awards video" in the subject line. Remember this should be 5-minutes maximum. The recording should ONLY be submitted via a YouTube link. You will need to check specifications for YouTube upload to reduce confusion after you film your video
Videos must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Note that this is two days after the applications are due on Monday, June 15, 2020.
YouTube instructions
1. Go to www.youtube.com. Click on “Create Account.” Ifyou already have a Gmail account, click on “Sign In”and proceed to Step 4.
2. Complete the information shown to set up youraccount. Then click on “I Accept.”
3. Once you have completed the account set-‐up, youshould be ready to upload. Click on “Upload.” in topright corner of the page. Looks like a video camera with a + sign in the middle.
4. Click on “Upload Video.” The icon is a video camera with a + sign in the middle
The following page will appear. Depending upon your connection, the
uploading process can take a while. Be sure to change the setting to “Unlisted” before uploading.
5. Once your video has loaded, you will get the followingscreen. Complete the information noted below.
Preview : Make sure you see clips from your Video in the “preview” section.
Title: Title should be your First and Last name Privacy: Make sure this is set to “unlisted” or the
link will not be able to be viewed by the Selection Committee
Description: Type here in this box, “2020 Lavaca County Awards "
6. Click “Save Changes” and copy and paste your link in an email to [email protected] with the wording "awards video" in the subject line.
