ABOUT Established in 2003, London Design Festival is one of the world's most important and influential global annual design events. London Design Festival is a key constituent of London’s Autumn creative season, alongside London Fashion Week, Frieze Art Fair and the London Film Festival. The vision of the Festival is to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world and as the gateway to the international design community. LDF will take place from 12-20 September 2020. THE ROLE London Design Festival is looking for an experienced and proactive Marketing Assistant to support the PR, Marketing and Brand campaigns for London Design Festival and Global Design Forum. The role will involve working closely with the Communications, Sponsor and Partnership teams along with Creative Agency partner Pentagram and PR Agency Exposure to successfully implement the development and delivery of the always-on marketing and communications strategy. You will edit and publish the annual Guide with the Communications Director, along with owning supplier relationships. KEY TASKS MARKETING o Edit and publish the annual London Design Festival Guide with Pentagram: overseeing the distribution supplier and printer, sourcing content and project material, managing approvals, and adhering to key delivery dates o Own and manage supplier relationships, sourcing quotes and ensuring all collateral is ordered according to timelines o Work with the Partner Manager to enhance the partner dashboard for registration and package sales, ensuring all content is captured correctly for the master export o Devise marketing and brand opportunity plans for London Design Festival, Membership and Global Design Forum o Support Pentagram to ensure all LDF deliverables are briefed in, created, approved and supplied o Support LDF Membership programme, procuring new member benefits and managing the promotions strategy to acquire new members and retain existing members o Act as the key marketing point of contact for Festival sponsors, design teams, partners, project owners and Medal Winners, ensuring plans are shared and contractual deliverables are fulfilled o Align with the V&A PR and Marketing Teams to coordinate LDF marketing plans and Global Design Forum promotions o Organise and run photo and video shoots, uploading assets, logos and imagery and managing the image library o Manage project wayfinding and signage including installation with suppliers o Partner closely with the Digital Assistant and Partner Manager to supply, proofread and approve copy, presentations and images pre-dispatch LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL MARKETING ASSISTANT

o Partner with the Festival Manager to edit the Global Design Forum programme and speaker bios, and support on ticket sales

o Support internal teams with creating presentations and briefing documents for sponsors, partners and project teams

o Manage reporting for project debriefs and wrap ups PR & COMMUNICATIONS o Support Exposure with media requests for interviews, press releases, images and project

information o Support Exposure with compiling press releases and running the press conference, press preview

and PR events o Oversee influencer outreach and programming throughout the year, including dedicated influencer

events during LDF o Create briefing documents for Exposure and media on key announcements and new

designer/project launches o Support on key LDF events including the London Design Festival Party and Medal Dinner

KEY SKILLS o 2 years minimum relevant experience in a Marketing, PR or Communications role o Professional experience managing marketing and design agencies, printers and suppliers o Experience sourcing supplier quotes and delivering materials within a timeframe o Confident working with a MAC, Microsoft Office, InDesign and Photoshop o Proven copywriting and content creation ability; naturally creative with an appreciation for design o A keen organisational sense with meticulous attention to detail for proofreading. Calm under

pressure o Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills o High energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude, and capable of working in a small team
