OUR INSPIRATIONS
Step inside our creative hub to read what inspired GlobeWest’s Design team in the development of Collections 2020, with insights from Design Manager, Keti Lytras.
THE PROCESS
To bring design diversity to life in our collection and products, we begin by thinking about how Australians live and the importance of a building’s architectural features in shaping its interior.
We start the development of any collection with 5 core architectural styles in mind: contemporary, modern, classic, eclectic and retreat.

LIFESTYLE FACTORS
Whilst these core styles don’t change dramatically from year to year, our social, cultural and technological environments both globally and locally do shift. This impacts our needs
and wants for our homes and commercial spaces.

Our colour and design directions originate from a number of sources. These include art, architecture, fashion, music, travel and more.

STYLE NOTESFor a Mediterranean twist pair sculptural forms, playful pattern and vibrant colour.
As architecture continues to embrace curves and favours stone finishes we are reminded of the Mediterranean.
Travertine, terrazzo, twisted cord and rattan combine in splendour while cobalt blue, soft yellow and terracotta hues add a playful twist to tweed, velvet, linen and more.
The mix of traditional craftsmanship and finishes within new shapes and colours brings a sense of joy and hope.

A restrained glamour emerges with furniture elements mirroring the mood of classic architecture.
A mix of fine finishes including angled block marble and matte velvets create a sanctuary of luxury.
Textures are unexpected with mirrored glass, darker woods, brass tipped legs, boucle, velvet and jacquard fabrics, rich and striking, yet feminine.
