ceralsio ceramic propertiesCeralsio is a beautiful, hard-wearing and versatile range of ceramic surfaces,

built for the demands of modern living.

Thanks to its lack of pores, Ceralsio is completely impermeable and highly

stain resistant. Its many benefits also include a strong resistance to scratch,

heat and wear and tear. As a very hard material it is suitable for kitchen and

bathroom countertops, flooring and wall-cladding. Its colour and texture

remain unchanged even when Ceralsio is used outdoors, since it can withstand

the effects of ultra-violet rays without its surface appearance being altered

in any way.

Ceralsio has been developed by using the highest grade of ceramic material.

The selection and fusion of the purest of materials, compacted at a force

of 4,000 kg/m2 and sintered at temperatures of over 1200°C make it a

porcelain surface. The highly innovative manufacturing process creates unique,

unrepeatable finishes, thanks to the use of the high-precision “Full Digital”

printing system.

Thanks to its properties, Ceralsio guarantees versatile, eco-friendly, innovative

surfaces that help to make life easier and more convenient.

RESISTANT TO WEAR AND TEAR

Thanks to Ceralsio technical characteristics, this is the most highly resistant

countertop on the market, ideal for use indoors and out.

EASY TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR

No extra care or special products are needed to clean it. Stains can

be removed with water or mild cleaning products.

RESISTANT TO FROST AND ICE

Its low water absorption rate of less than 0.2% makes it ideal for

outdoor environments where frost and ice is common.

HEAT RESISTANT

Ceralsio does not burn or give off smoke or toxic substances when exposed

to high temperatures. Hot cooking utensils like frying pans or saucepans can

be rested on its surface without it being damaged.

IMPACT RESISTANT

Ceralsio has a high resistance to knocks and impacts by everyday objects or

utensils. (Everyday objects found in kitchens, restaurants, laboratories etc).

Ceralsio is a non-toxic environmentally-friendly product that complies with European legislation under current EU

regulation no. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and the Council and specific standards applicable to the tile sector.

All first-choice Ceralsio ceramic surfaces comply with and even surpass ISO standards 13006:1998 and EN 14411:2003

regarding the definition, classification, characteristics and marking of ceramic tile materials.

Ceralsio also has a Quality Control System, which it applies to the whole manufacturing and storage process.

RECOMMENDED USES

For the ceramic slabs to conserve their original beauty, these guidelines should

be followed:

• Use wooden chopping boards to cut food. Ceramic knives have a similar hardness

to the countertop and so they should not be used to cut things on its surface.

• In spite of being a material of great hardness, it is not recommended to clean

the Ceralsio surface with materials whose hardness is higher than ceramic.

• Countertops with polished finishes or dark colours are easier to scratch and

so metal objects should not be dragged directly across their surfaces.

KNOCKS

Ceralsio ceramic slabs stand out for their hardness and resistance. Even so, care

must be taken with those parts of the worktops and countertops most exposed to

knocks, such as corners, edges and bevel edges.

CLEANING

Ceralsio has an almost non-porous surface and so it is easy to clean. Even so,

a series of guidelines should be followed to remove everyday stains typically found

in kitchens and bathrooms.

The stains should be cleaned away as soon as they occur, using a cloth moistened

with water, to prevent them from drying. In the case of dry stains, moisten the area

with hot water in order to soften the dirt and then remove it with a clean cloth.

Before any type of special cleaning product is used on ceramic slabs with a polished

finish, test it out on an area that is not very visible to check that the shine or colour

is not affected by the product.

The recommendations above cannot reflect all possible applications or factors

involved in the on-site use and installation of our products. As a result, before they

are used, the project manager, architect or materials specifier should make sure

that these materials and any others used to lay them are suitable for the intended

use, being fully responsible for the outcome of their use. CRL Stone cannot be held
