Abstract The article introduces a new algorithm for solving a class of variational inequality problems for monotone operators and system of nonlinear variational inequalities problems (SNVI) for two strongly monotone operators. We describe how to incorporate the extragradient like technique based on altering points technique with inertial effects. A weak convergence theorem is established for the proposed algorithm. Numerical examples are performed to illustrate the numerical effciency of the algorithm and compare with other algorithms.

Moreover, we also study the Mond-Weir dual problem for the aforesaid problem and establish its weak, strong and converse duality results.

Abstract In portfolio selection, the aim is to obtain a proper proportion of assets such that the investor gets maximum return and minimum risk. In a practical portfolio planning process, the investment decision to be taken by an investor is not simple and is influenced by several other parameters such as investors topology, clustering and different factors of stock. In this article, a hybrid approach for asset allocation is proposed with multiple methodologies like investor topology, cluster analysis, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for ranking the assets and portfolio selection by teaching-learning based optimization (TLBO)with five objectives- return, risk, liquidity, dividend and AHP weighted score. TLBO is a population based algorithm.Population size and number of generations these are two common controlling parameters that are required to work for TLBO. Apart from this, post-optimality test is also applied to check the efficiency of TLBO and the result will also improve.

Abstract The study of optimal design for covariate models in CRD set-up was initiated by Troya (1982a, 1982b). Das et. al. (2003) followed up the study and extended for RBD set-up. Das et. al. (2015) published a book on ‘Optimal Covariate Designs’. In this study, one new set of D-optimal covariate designs in Experimental Design with One-way Classified Intercept Model (CRD) set-up and two new sets of D-optimal covariate designs in Experimental Design with Two-way Classified Intercept Model (RBD) set-up have been developed. The methods of constructions of D- optimal covariate designs are developed with the help of a new matrix viz., Special Array (as defined). The existence of Hv and Hb-1 can develop c=(v-1) number of D-optimal covariates in CRD and RBD set-ups with the treatment number v for any odd number of replications or blocks, b. If Hv and Hb-r exists, then c=(v-1) D-optimal covariates will exist in a RBD set up with v number of treatments for b odd number of blocks provided r (> 1) is a odd number and Hr-1 exist, where r is the number of rows and columns in the Special Array with all elements zero. Abstract Scattering of obliquely incident surface gravity waves by multiple porous barriers is studied in the presence of step type varying bottom topography. The bottom bed consists of a finite interval of uneven geometry which is connected by two semi-infinite intervals of uniform water depths. An array of porous barriers is located on water of uniform depth on the lee side of bottom variations. Using small amplitude wave theory and Darcy’s law for flow past porous structure, the physical problem is converted into a boundary value problem which is handled for solution using coupled eigenfunction expansion in uniform bottom regions and modified mild-slope equation in varying bottom region. Further, certain jump conditions are used for the conservation of mass flux at slope discontinuities in bottom profile. To understand the effect of variations in bottom topography on wave scattering by multiple porous barriers, physical quantities such as reflection and transmission coefficients, wave forces on the barriers are computed and analyzed for different values of depth ratio, varying bottom parameter, porous-effect parameter, incident wave angle, spacing between the barriers and slope length of varying bottom. In the presence of ripple bottom bed, effect of multiple porous barriers on Bragg scattering is analyzed. Certain drift in Bragg reflection is noticed due to propagation of oblique incident waves over step type ripple beds

Abstract In today’s economic environment randomness alone is not sufficient for determining the stock’s future performance, therefore experts’ knowledge plays the key role in successful investment strategies. In this paper a portfolio optimization problem is discussed in an uncertain environment in which stock returns are considered as a zigzag uncertain variable, since stock returns cannot be well reflected by historical data. The parameters of zigzag uncertain variable are evaluated by experts. A mean-variance-skewness model is developed in uncertain environment using uncertain programming to optimize the portfolio within the framework of uncertainty theory. Some real-world constraints like cardinality and bounding are also embedded in it. An uncertain goal programming approach is used to obtain efficient investment strategies in an indeterminacy economic environment. Finally, a real-world example with the data set, collected from BSE India website, is presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed model and the efficacy of solution approach.

Abstract Recently, on recognizing the innovative concept of complex valued fuzzy set due to Ramot et al. [1] , Singh et al. [2] introduced the novel notion of complex valued fuzzy metric spaces. In this article, we introduce a new class of implicit function to prove common fixed point theorems in the framework of complex valued fuzzy metric space. Moreover, new altering distance in terms of integral is defined and utilized the same to deduce integral type contractive conditions. Additionally, we present application of main results to the system of functional equations. Finally, we give an example in support of results obtained.

Abstract Background: The combination therapy of Losartan and Amlodipine has proven to be beneficial as compare to either drug monotherapy. The mechanism of this beneficial effect has not been established and an approach was made to study possible in vitro protein binding interaction between Amlodipine, Losartan and its active metabolite losartan carboxylic acid (LCA; EXP1371). Several pathological factors viz. oxidation, glycation, aging etc. may induce conformational changes in structure of recombinant Human Serum Albumin (rHSA), which ultimately leads to free drug concentration.Experimental: The selected analytes were effectively separated on thermo β-basic C18 (100×4.6 mm, 5 µm) column using mobile phase consisting of 20mM monobasic potassium phosphate and 0.2% TEA with acetonitrile and iso-propyl alcohol in gradient mode. The eluent was monitored at 228nm at 1.0 ml min-1 flow rate. The total run time was less than 12 min. The in vitro protein binding experiments were performed under simulated physiological conditions using ultrafiltration as protein binding model. The ultrafiltrate was spiked with ramipril (IS) and extracted in 2M NaOH followed by separation with methyl-tert-butyl ether. Human serum albumin was glycated using 8-12 mM D (+)-glucose and glycated albumin was prepared and standardized. Results: The retention time for amlodipine, losartan, losartan carboxylic acid and ramipril was 8.45, 2.22. 3.75 and 7.10 min. respectively. The resolution for any given pair of peak was more than 2.0. Amlodipine, losartan and LCA bind more than 95% to recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA), when studied individually. The protein binding of Losartan and LCA were not affected when spiked concomitantly with amlodipine, whereas, binding of Amlodipine to rHSA was decreased by 15-20% under similar conditions at supra pharmacological concentration level of LOS and LCA. The albumin binding capacity of all the analytes were reduced nearly seven to eight fold in the case of Gly-HSA. The in vitro protein binding studies with Gly-HSA have shown alteration in the corresponding albumin binding of Amlodipine, Losartan and LCA.

Abstract This paper aims to propose a new multi-criteria decision making method based on technique fororder preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) in Pythagorean fuzzy environment. In the proposed process, at first, completely unknown weights of criteria are determined through a newly defined Pythagorean fuzzy entropy weight model. Then TOPSIS is employed to find best ranking of alternatives. An illustrative example regarding selection of best photovoltaic solar panels available in solar market of West Bengal, India, is considered, solved and compared with the results obtained by existing new multi-criteria decision making methods to demonstrate the application potentiality of the proposed method.

Abstract Data driven parsing techniques like Transition and Maximum Spanning Tree based tends to have low accuracy for Indian languages as compared to Chinese and major European languages (EUL), which is due to the complexity of grammatical structures of these languages. Unlike EUL, Indian languages are morphologically rich and all of these features are not reflected in the training data sets. To address these problems a Multi Layer Neural Network based Parsing approach for Indian languages using the Backpropagation learning algorithm is proposed, where features like Phrase structures, Parts-of-speech tags, presence of Case Markers and Generic Markers are all expressed in the input patterns as d-dimentional vectors. The parser is trained with features of elementary 3-word, projective Nepali sentences.

Shortfall Of Farm Machinery Manufacturers Using Slacks-Based Data Envelopment Analysis

Abstract The technical efficiency of farm machinery manufacturers in Central India has been estimated using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and slacks-based DEA. For this purpose, primary data were collected from the farm machinery manufacturers during 2017-18. Out of total variation observed in manufacturing system, 69 % was due to technical inefficiency and 31 % was due to stochastic errors. The farm implements were being manufactured with technical efficiency 54.3% and 65.2% assuming half-normal and exponential distribution respectively. This shows that the system can be enhanced further by 45.6% and 34.7%, respectively, using the same inputs and manufacturing technology. It was found that 85.05% manufacturer shows increasing return to scale (IRS), 3.44% decreasing return to scale (DRS) and 11.49% constant return to scale (CRS). The input excess and output shortfall was also estimated using slacks-based DEA model for inefficient manufacturers. The inefficient manufacturers can become efficient after reducing their input and increasing their annual turnover. On an average, to be an efficient manufacturer, one has to reach annual turnover by INR 40.7 million and has to cut off 1 salesman, 4 technicians, 8 helpers, 2 office staff and 1 service staff.

The classical techniques use different concepts for improving IR models such as categorization, classification etc. This paper reviews different document retrieval techniques first and then an extension on previously introduced version is provided. This technique first pre-process data, extract features then the retrieved features are organized in a Tuple. These Tuples are further used with fuzzy c means algorithm to cluster the domain according to their features. This process reduces the time of search model. In addition to this, the new query generation and optimization technique is proposed in this work to prevent inappropriate query submission. The results with the different dataset shows the proposed IR model improves the performance in terms of efficient and accuracy.

In this paper detailed review is provided with a major focus on a combination of two well-known information security methods i.e. cryptography and steganography (Crypto-Stego algorithms) with their performance analysis and previous contribution to ensure security.To judge the performance of the cryptography algorithm few metrics are analyze like processing speed of the algorithm, encryption/decryption time, throughput, key size, etc, similarly, steganography algorithm performance is measure by hiding capacity, mean square error, root mean square error, PSNR, quality index, correlation, structural similarity index, and security.Finally, in the concluding remark, some future directions are highlighted to ensure multimedia data security with the combination of other information security methods.

Abstract A new corrected quadrature rule is constructed to evaluate singular integrals of the form . The rule is derived by approximating unknown function by Hermite interpolating polynomial. Zeros of first kind Chebyshev polynomials are chosen as mesh points of interpolation. Advantage of proposed method is that it produces reliable results when some mesh points coincide with singular point. Method is illustrated with some suitable examples.

Abstract The trigonometric cubic B-splines approach for solving one-dimensional heat equations is considered in the present study. A standard finite difference approach had been used to discrete the time derivative while the trigonometric cubic B-spline is implemented in the space dimension as an interpolation function. The accuracy of the method for heat equation is discussed. The analytical results indicate that they are in good agreement with the exact solution.

Abstract In this paper, we introduce a set-valued variational inclusion problem with fuzzy mappings involving XOR-operation. We define a resolvent operator involving a bi-mapping and prove some of its properties. An existence and convergence result is proved for set-valued variational inclusion problem with fuzzy mappings involving XOR-operation without using the properties of a normal cone and a particular case of our main result is also proved for classical mappings. Some examples are constructed.

Abstract The credibility theory (Branch of fuzzy set theory) is broadly utilized to describe uncertainty of the financial markets. This paper obtains credibilistic semivariance of trapezoidal fuzzy variable and applied this concept to quantify the portfolio risk in the stock portfolio selection. A mean-semivariance- skewness model is proposed with numerical illustration taking historical data set from the Indian premier market for financial assets. To solve the proposed multi-objective optimization problem, optimal goal programming approach is suggested. Furthermore, results comparison of semivariance as risk measure with other risk measures is performed.

Abstract In this paper, the day to day variability for M(3000)F2 parameter of F-region for a low latitude station Darwin(12.47S,130.85E) for the year 2014 studied. The diurnal, seasonal and monthly variation of M(3000)F2 parameter has been studied. The standard deviation method is used to analyze the variation of M(3000)F2 parameter. The seasonal variation is divided into three seasons- winter months, equinoxial months and summer months. In the study it has been found, the diurnal percentage deviation of M(3000)F2 is high in the night time than day time. For seasonal variation, the variation of percentage deviation of M(3000)F2 for the night is high in summer months as compared to winter months and equinoxial months. For monthly variation, the percentage deviation of M(3000)F2 is high in November and low in March and September.

Mathematical Modeling Of Solar Chimney For Air Ventilation In A Room Using Passive Ventilation Method

Abstract Passive ventilation method is an efficient approach to save energy in building and secure environment. In recent years passive ventilation has proved to be better option for improving indoor thermal environment. Previous studies focuses mainly on achieving improved ventilation performance both experimentally and theoretically in ideal condition, whereas small sized equipment are generally considered for experimental studies. A mathematical model and numerical investigation on solar chimney was proposed to predict performance under varying atmospheric condition and geometrical features to induce ventilation building. The observation was compared with theoretical calculation and numerical simulation. The experimental results for a solar chimney of 6.2m length, 2.8m width and 0.35m air gap shows that air flow rate of 70.6m3/h – 1887.6m3/h can be achieved during the daytime in the testing day. On comparison it is found that the flow rate of the measured value is generally lower than theoretical value. In real engineering project, the suggested discharge coefficient Cd of solar energy is taken as 0.51. By using the suggested discharge coefficient value, during the season from April to November the simulation result shows that solar chimney can be used for saving energy with an energy saving rate of about 14.5%. Hence solar chimney is an efficient way to save energy for residential building for both summer and winter season.

Abstract The Aperiodic fluctuations in the Solar Activities intensively affect ionospheric TEC (Total Electron Contents). These fluctuations are commonly studied with the help of Solar Activity Indices. For the present study, we have used three Solar Activity Indices [viz. Sunspot Number (Rz), Solar Extreme Ultraviolet Flux (EUV) and Coronal Mass Ejections (CME)]. These indices provide a wonderful opportunity to remotely observe the different Solar Phases. The aim of this study is to observe the relationship between the Solar Activity Indices and the Ionospheric TEC during the Solar Maxima year 2012 and the Solar Minima year 2017 at low latitude station Pathum Wan, Thailand (CUSV) at 13.74°N & 100.54°E. We observed weak ionospheric activities (lower values of TEC) during Solar Minima year 2017 and strong ionospheric activities (higher values of TEC) during Solar Maxima 2012. It was also seen that both the solar extreme periods follow the same seasonal pattern, showing maximum seasonal TEC during Equinox and the minimum seasonal TEC during summer. It was also observed that the TEC variation shows close agreement with CME occurrence, Sunspot Number (Rz) and EUV flux (24 -36 nm) during the maxima and the minima periods. It was noticed that this agreement was more prominent during the Solar Maxima period than that of the solar Minima period. We also studied two parameters of CMEs, viz. linear speed and angular width. We observed a higher number of Halo and Faster CMEs (CMEs with higher energy) during the Solar Maxima year than that of the Solar Minima year. It was also seen that the average CME speed during the Solar Maxima period was 384.5km/s, whereas during the Solar Minima period this speed was 303.7km/s.

Abstract A model for oblique wave interaction with a floating bridge in the presence of a submerged breakwater and a trench is developed. The breakwaters and trenches are considered to be of trapezoidal and circular types. The performance of these undulations in bottom bed are analyzed in detail for reflecting waves and reducing resulting forces on bridge. The analysis is performed by utilizing solutions derived with the aid of modified mild-slope equation in the undulated bottom region and of eigen function expansion in uniform bottom region. Significant changes are found in wave reflection and forces due to consideration of these undulations in bottom bed as compared to those in the case of uniform bottom everywhere in fluid region. The present study shows certain range of wave incident angles at which the breakwaters and trenches perform effectively in reflecting waves and thereby reducing forces. A complementary connection is justified between reflection of waves and consequent forces on bridge. Moreover, critical wavenumbers and angles where zero reflection occurs are found in shallow and intermediate water depth. The critical values are found to lead an increase in forces and for these values appropriate gap lengths between bridge and breakwater or trench, width of breakwater and trench are explored. Phase shift in reflection and forces is observed due to the inversion of undulated profiles. Within a periodic value of the distance between the breakwater/trench and the floating bridge, optima in wave reflection occurs. In addition, the maxima in wave reflection is associated with the minima in wave forces acting on the floating bridge. The findings from the present model are likely to be useful in understanding the role of breakwaters and trenches in engineering applications.

Abstract This paper describes a comparative study of ionospheric to Geomagnetic Storms during month of January 2005, active enough in terms of magnetic field perturbations and ionospheric variability, of Solar Cycle 23. Short term and long term effects, in terms of ionospheric parameters; have been undertaken into the study in response to the Solar Flares and Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), respectively. Sudden enhancement in ionospheric parameters like foF2, NmF2 aftermath to Flares and enhancement due to Geomagnetic Storms has been observed during this period. This month witnessed many solar events and due to which a number of parametric perturbation in ionosphere has been observed. Abstract The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new three step iteration process for the approximation of fixed points of the nonexpansive mappings and proved that it is faster than some known iterative algorithm for the contraction mappings. We support analytic proof by a numerical example in which we approximate the fixed point. We also proved some weak and strong convergence theorems for the nonexpansive mappings. We applied our results for finding solutions of constrained minimization problems and split feasibility problems.

Abstract Now a day’s online reviews have become an important source of information for users before making an informed purchase decision. Early reviews of a product tend to have a high impact on subsequent product sales. Early reviewers are those who have posted a review in the early stage based on their rating behavior received from others and the correlation of their reviews with product popularity. Prediction of the product early reviewers from the e-commerce website influences product popularity and its sell. In this paper, we take the initiative to study the behavior characteristics of early reviewers through their posted reviews on two real-world large e-commerce platforms, i.e., Amazon and Yelp. In order to do this, we divided product lifetime into three consecutive stages, namely early, majority and laggards with the help of the Classic Rogue Bell Curve Technique. By viewing the review posting process as a multiplayer competition game, we propose a novel margin-based embedding model for early reviewer prediction. Extensive experiments on two different e-commerce datasets have shown that our proposed approach outperforms a number of competitive baselines.

Abstract In the present study we have studied response of ionospheric F layer critical frequency (foF2) to geomagnetic storm over northern and southern hemisphere. To accomplish this study we have selected two stations one in northern hemisphere , I-Cheon (37.40 N, 127.540 E) of South Korea and another one in southern hemisphere, Hermanus (-34.420 N, 19.220 E) of South Africa. For this study we have selected two geomagnetic storms of 17 March 2015 and 8 September 2017 from our study we find that during the main phase of the geomagnetic storm the foF2 values reached its maximum and lowest values were observed during the recovery phase of geomagnetic storm. Such studies are important for accurate forecasting and modeling of critical frequency of ionospheric F2 layer which is very useful for high-frequency communication.

Abstract In this paper, we introduce a new class of sets named as slack 2-geodesic convex set on Riemannian manifolds. By a suitable example, we show that it is a different class of geodesic convexities. We also define geodesic E-pseudoconvex functions and study some properties of geodesic E-quasiconvex functions. We establish some relationships between geodesic E-pseudoconvex functions, geodesic E-quasiconvex functions and slack 2-geodesic convex sets. Furthermore, we present an application of geodesic E-quasiconvex functions to nonlinear programming problems.

Abstract This paper deals with a new generalization of rational Lupas Bernstein-B_ezier curves involving (p; q)-integers as shape parameters for all p > 0 and q > 0. A two parameter family of rational rational Bernstein-B_ezier curves, weighted Lupas (p; q) Bezier curves, are constructed based on a set of Lupas (p; q)-analogue of Bernstein blending functions. These blending functions are normalized totally positive bases and their degree elevation properties has been studied. This new genralization of rational Bernstein-Bezier curves involving (p; q)-integers as shape parameters is investigated from a geometric point of view. This investigation provides the geomtric meaning of the weights and the representations of conic sections. The new curves have properties similar to weighted Lupas q-Bezier curves. We have also studied degree evaluation and de Casteljau algorithm by means of homogeneous coordinates. Furthermore, in comparison to classical rational Bezier curves, Lupas q-Bezier curves, Lupas (p; q) Bezier curves and weighted Lupas q-Bezier curves, our generalization gives us more exibility and better approximations to the control polygon.

Abstract This paper involves an interval type-2 SVM fusion model combining with multiple individual SVM classifiers. Under various suitable assumptions experimental results show that interval type -2 FLS is a suitable and feasible way to implement ensemble approaches in terms of performance and computational complexity. Thereafter by making consequent use of interval type-2 fuzzy logic with triangular membership shows that the results are best when compared with the other two membership functions.As an application proposed results can be applied to online diagnosis of incipient faults in transformers.

Abstract In this paper the Shape characteristic of trigonometric Bezier Curves (called TB Curves) with four parameters has been examined. The required and sufficient conditions are obtained for those curves having one or more than one inflection points, a loop or a cusp, and are locally or globally convex. Each result is totally featured by the relative position of the control polygon’s side vectors and is précis in a shape diagram of TB curves, which can be utilized for curve and surface modelling. In addition we examined the effect of shape parameters on shape diagram and capacity for altering the shape of the curve.

Abstract A wireless mobile ad hoc network (MANET) is a dynamic network that can be built without the need for any central governance system and pre-existing infrastructure, in which each node can act as a router. During the transmission of information in any network, energy consumption is an important factor for the efficiency and lifetime of the network. A reduction in energy consumption is achieved by detecting the energy consumption at the node at each stage of transmission.The main objective of this paper is to formulate mathematical models of energy consumption. A mathematical model of the energy consumption of a network is to be built on the basis of available nodes and links to formulate mathematical models related to energy. When constructing this mathematical model for the challenge related to mobility and low connectivity due to limited battery power in the network, the failure of the links present in the network and the estimated energy consumption are taken into account. Due to the greater mobility of this type of network, nodes rapidly change their positions, causing nodes to drain the battery very quickly, thus reducing network performance. So we need a mathematical model that works by taking into account life and saving the energy of nodes based on the nodes and links of the network.

Abstract Assessing the spatial variability of soil properties is important to manage different cropland soils in climatically vulnerable regions. Little is known about the spatial variability of soil organic carbon (SOC) and other soil properties in climatically vulnerable district Rajgarh of Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, the present study was conducted in twenty climate smart adopted villages of northern Rajgarh in M.P. to understand the spatial variability of soil properties using GIS and a geostatistical model. These soil samples were analyzed for SOC, labile carbon, phosphorus (P), potassium (K), soil pH, electrical conductivity (EC), water holding capacity (WHC), micronutrients [iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn) and copper(Cu)] and dehydrogenase activity (DHA) following standard protocols. These sample points were geo referenced and surface maps of soil properties were prepared using the semivariogram model through Kriging techniques in Arc GIS 10.1. For each soil parameter semivariograms were calculated and their main parameters (nugget, sill and range) were obtained. Moderate spatial dependence for K, labile C, Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn strong spatial dependence for SOC, EC, water holding capacity, P, DHA and week spatial dependence for pH were recorded. The best fit model (exponential/spherical/Gaussian/) was identified to describe the spatial dependence of soil parameters based on root mean square error. All micronutrients except zinc were found high in this region. The Zinc content was also adequate and high except for two villages Manoharpura and Hirapura. The soil maps generated could be used as a guide for site-specific nutrient management in the study region.

Abstract Eigenvalues of matrices play central role in Linear algebra and there is no efficient way of computing these when the order of matrix is high unless the matrix is of very special type. The sets which include eigenvalues are the so called eigenvalue inclusion sets. Since these sets provide location of eigenvalues their study is interesting and important. There are three types of eigenvalue inclusion sets Gershgorin, Ostrowski, Brauer set. Gershgorin is the special case of Ostrowski set. The maps

which satisfy where is an eigenvalue inclusion set and is a binary operation on are known as preservers of eigenvalue inclusion sets.

Abstract In an electron cyclotron resonance maser, the electrons execute cyclotron motion in an axial magnetic field and emit coherent radiation due to azimuthal bunching. In this paper, it is shown that in the presence of the electromagnetic wave, under appropriate resonance and initial condition, the electrons get acceleration. The device is known as Inverse Cyclotron Resonance Maser Accelerator (ICRMA). The ICRMA equations are derived and analyzed. The important analytical expressions of saturation length and saturation energy of inverse cyclotron resonance maser accelerator are derived and discussed. The effect of synchrotron radiation loss is included in the analysis.
