ABOUTGOVTECHFrom delivering digital services to developing South Africa into a Smart Nation, SITA’s GovTech advocates innovative technology to shape the way business is done in government.

GovTech is a confluence of strategic conversation regarding service delivery obstacles and technology solutions that can be applied to address these issues. Govtech is now a distinguished South African ICT conference focusing on citizen convenience through service delivery.

This year marks GovTech’s 13th year of bringing together Government, Industry and Business on a multi layered engagement, reinforcing SITA’s commitment to provide a platform that not only showcases the latest technologies, solutions and trends, but also brings together diverse stakeholders across the public and private sectors. It is the annual meeting place for representatives from government and industry to share information, knowledge and professional experiences in serving citizens better through the use of information and communications technologies.

Digitalisation is a key pillar of the Government’s public service transformation efforts. Open innovation is our statement of the Government’s ambition to better leverage data and harness new technologies, and to drive broader efforts to build a digital economy and digital society, in support of a Smart Nation.

Government is prioritizing the use of technology to accelerate the achievement of radical economic transformation by focusing on the expansion, modernization and accessibility of information and communications infrastructure.

With this comes our Govtech 2019 theme “Digital transformation gearing towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution and beyond.” – how 4IR will bring exponential changes to the way citizens live, work and relate to oneanother through the adoption of cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things and the Internetof Systems. We will look at how this revolution will impact all disciplines, industries, and economies. GovTech will provide a collaborative and information sharing platform for debate with eminent speakers, expert presentations and key suppliers all in attendance, delegates can identify excellent solutions to all public sector IT needs.

Selection of sponsorship for events or items is on a first come, first served basis.The sponsoring organisation is expected to submit the signed, official sponsorship agreement,which constitutes the formal contractual and legally binding commitment to participate in theconference as a sponsor.Sponsorship is ONLY secured upon receipt of an executed contract and payment of thirty percent(30%) of total Sponsorship Fee as non-refundable deposit.Payment in full is required 30 days after the contract is signed or, at the latest, two weeks prior tothe event.All sponsorship contracts are final and cannot be retracted.SITA reserves the right to decline sponsorship.SITA reserves the right to amend the rules and regulations governing sponsorship at its discretion.
