On behalf of the BC Taekwondo Federation, I would like to welcome everyone to the 3rd Annual Korean Consul General Open Championships & Taekwondo Festival. We are proud to have the Korean Consul General sponsor and support this event once again. Thank you to our Korean Consul of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver for your support of this event and our Provincial Sport Organization. I would also like to personally welcome all of our honoured guests from all over BC and all athletes and guests from out of town as well. Like all tournaments here in B.C., competitors will be able to showcase their hard earned skills and spirit as true Taekwondo martial artists. This year we are also showcasing some of Korea's culture with booths highlighting art and food. We hope that all parents and competitors take the time to visit these booths and learn a bit more about Korean culture. Good luck to all competitors and be reminded that all achievements and hard work and dedication provide great opportunities that open many doors in the sport of Taekwondo and other endeavours. I would like to thank all the Masters, Officials, volunteers, our committee members, and all supporters for your dedication and commitment in preparing this year's Korean Consul Open Taekwondo Championships. Special thank you to the Korean Consul General and the Western Grandmasters Union for your support in this event.

We look forward to seeing everyone in May! Sincerely,Senior Master Song Chul Kim
