Dear Taekwondo competitors, coaches and families,

With great pleasure we would like to invite you to participate in the 2019 ATQ State Selections.

This tournament provides the mechanism for athletes to gain entry to the 2019 Australian Taekwondo National Championships on the Gold Coast 6-8 September 2019.

(Please note only blue belt and above will be able to compete at Nation-

als).

As this is a selection event for Nationals, we will include the following events: Kyorugi Sparring, Poomsae (individual, pairs, teams, families, freestyle and WT divisions), self-defence, technical and power breaking.

To ensure a well prepared and competitive Queensland team showing at Nationals, the ATQ Board strongly encourages all prospective Queensland representatives to register and compete in as many upcoming tournaments as possible and (where appropriate) to attend scheduled State training sessions between now and the National Championships. Our aim is to provide an environment that promotes the spirit of sports-

manship, fairness and respect, allowing competitors to dig deep and demonstrate their skills whilst enjoying a friendly competition.

Yours sincerely
