“CHAD TRIPLETT & TWO LANE BLACK TOP”
A big ol country smile comes across the face of Chad Triplett as his latest song “Jasper’s Shine” bumps thru a country FM radio station as he rides down Interstate 20 on his way home from East Texas. Chad is a fast rising country artist with deep ties to The Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. His songs have made huge waves in the last year and a half since the critically acclaim debut album “Weathered” came out. Chad’s sound is all his own, and his stories are often mirror images of his own life. Four of his songs made country radio across the nation with Clear Channel Radio & iHeart Radio in the last two years. In November of 2014 Chad’s song “Southern Woman Loving” reached number 1 on The New Country Artist Top 40 Countdown. This huge achievement echoed thru the country world all the way to Music City, Nashville TN. Doors swung open and big things started happening for his music. For more about Chad Triplett, visit www.chadtriplettmusic.com or follow Chad on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Reverb Nation.
“OPAL MOON & THE DARKSIDES” - Opal Moon and the Darksides plays a variety of 70’s, 80’s and beyond.
MAIN STAGE - OLD DAYTON PARKING LOT
“NEW RIVER / GUN SHY” - Gun Shy is based out of Caldwell County. Each member has played music for 25+ years. Two of the members have been friends since 7th grade, and began their music career together. While being only a three-piece band, they bring a noteworthy energy and sound.

“NUNYA BIZNESS” - Nunya Bizness is a rock n roll band that plays a wide range of music, anything from Jimmy Buffett to Jimmy Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Eagles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many others. We’ll even play a little country if you want! We love Request; so don’t be shy. If there’s a song you want to hear, ask and if we think we can we’ll try it. Our first show together as Nunya Bizness was in August of 2013. Someone at the show asked us our name and when we told them they got mad and wanted to fight and we’ve been causing trouble ever since! Granite Falls is where Nunya Bizness was conceived and we play a lot in the local area so like us on Facebook and you can see our schedule and learn a little more about us if you want. For identification purposes the lead singer, keyboards and guitar is, Andrew Cook, also a teacher at South Caldwell. The bass player, AJ Schwankert, also a teacher at East Burke sings some lead and back up. Lead Guitar and singer is Greg Scott Perry and is a driver for Sun Belt. He plays the guitar upside down and is on medication! Then there’s the drummer-percussionist, John Howard, he can’t and won’t sing and there’s a good reason! He likes to hit stuff and is not on medication but probably should be, also the senior member of the group. We’re just a bunch of Christian rednecks that believe in the USA and enjoy playing a little music.

When his grandfather was diagnosed with Crones disease, the family left the road but Shellem continued to pursue a solo ministry. Since then, Shellem has seen a major growth within his ministry and has become a household name with in the Southern Gospel/Christian Country genre. Shellem has stated on several occasions that seeing souls saved is his number 1 priority and every time he stands to sing, winning souls is his ultimate goal. We have been singing together for 4 years but have all performed with many other gospel groups for over 10 years. We believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
