Culture of Life Committee is moving our monthly prayer time at Planned Parenthood due to the 4th of July holiday. We will pray on Thursday, July 11th from 7-7:30 pm in front of Planned Parenthood at 6511 W. 41st Street. Please join us in our effort to close this facility and protect the un-born!
St. Vincent de Paul Society: June 30: In today’s Gospel we see how Jesus, on His way to Jerusalem, sent “messenger on ahead of Him.” To be the messengers of God, we must know well what it is God wants to say and do through us, as He sends us out to bring His love to others. Last month, you were the “messenger of God” in bringing hope to the poor. You assisted 40 people in 16 families: $5,033 for rent, $724 for utilities, $300 for food, $50 for hygiene supplies, $40 for clothing, and $100 for household items. We also sent $1,806 worth of diapers to Indian reservations and $560 to assist another Catholic parish help the
poor. July 7: In the Gospel today we see how Jesus sent his Apostles out two by two. In this spirit, the Soci-ety of St. Vincent de Paul members “go out two by two” to visit those who are poor and needy in their homes. It is there, in the family setting, that Vin-centians listen, offer humble advice, and render as-sistance. Know that the members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul bring your gift directly to the poor and suffering in our community.
We Welcome Through Baptism:

On March 17, 1977, Nora Van Hove began her first day of work at The Church of Saint Mary. Forty-two years, two months and two weeks later, on June 30, 2019, Nora “retired.” A “Legacy” is a gift that continues to give, from
one person to another, year after year. Nora Van Hove has been a Legacy for the Church of Saint Mary. We thank you, Nora, for sharing your life with all of us, the family of The Church of Saint Mary.
