A message from Brad

Welcome to week 9 everyone!

I begin this week by recognising a couple of

our sporty students who have excelled in their

winter sports. Taylah Graham and her team,

Cupcakes, will compete in the Tumut Netball

Grand Final against the Screaming Divas this

Saturday. Taylah will take her place as wing

defender. Good luck to Taylah and her team.

Hopefully a premiership medal is coming your

way!

On Sunday, Tilly Graham competed in the

under 12’s Viva 7’s Rugby tournament

representing the Southwest Slopes. Tilly took

on the Riverina and came away victorious in a

tight contest. Tilly will travel to Albury to take

on teams from Melbourne in the next round.

Well done Tilly!

I hope everyone has locked in Community

Night for this weekend. It is sure to be another

great night! I look forward to seeing you all

there!

Enjoy the week everyone!

Numeracy in the spotlight

This week in Numeracy we will take a look at

2D shapes. Our junior students will discover

and discuss squares, triangles, rectangles and

circles. Our senior students will look at the

properties of 2D shapes and discuss axis of

symmetry. Do you know how many axis of

symmetry can be found on an equilateral

triangle?

Times table of the week is : x 9

Literacy Corner

This week in Literacy, we will take a look at

procedures. A procedure is a detailed step by

step text that informs a reader or a listener

about how to do something. The best example

of a procedure is a recipe.

Arabin Cup

Last Friday we travelled to Binalong to

compete in the Arabin Cup T-ball competition.

We won all our games in our pool but were

beaten on total runs by Jugiong and Binalong.

It was a real good day and we had lots of fun.

mosaics that they are keen to present. All

End of term rewards day

Next Friday, 28th September, students who

this term, will be making the trip to Wagga. We

will be checking out Small Foot at the movies

followed by a visit to the Botanical gardens

where we will enjoy some pizzas in the park.

today’s newsletter.

Footy Colours Day

Tomorrow, we will be joined by Maddy Luff

who is going to present some photos and tell

some stories about Oscar and his long battle

with illness and point out the great work of our

wonderful doctors and nurses who assisted

along the way. Thank you Maddy for giving up

Community Bonfire Night

THE BLACK HORSE IN THE

MOONLIGHT

One dark stormy night. The moon was as

bright as the sun it was full.

Jessy went out to check on the horses in the

barn, next minute you know, boom, a tree fell.

The horses were going crazy. Jessy ran inside

to get her mum. As she was running, she

tripped on a log. She screamed for her mum

but her mum didn’t hear her. The wind was to

powerful. Then all of a sudden the horses

were out, someone let them out. A car raced

up the road its number plate said

HORSE KILLERS

with blood dripping down it. Jessy began to

cry but she knew she had to help the horses.

Jessy got to the barn but one of the horses

was bleeding and could not get up. Then

Jessy thought she saw a ghost, it was a black

stallion, leading the horses back to the barn.
