Why Choose New Zealand
New Zealand is a great place to come and study and offers many exciting opportunities for international students.
New Zealand makes you feel welcome
Kiwis are some of the most welcoming people that you
will ever meet. There are just over four million people
who reside in the country, and it is one of the safest
places to live in the world. We have over 30 nationalities
here so you can feel at home.
Our educational system is highly regarded
In New Zealand and at Aspire2 International, you are
guaranteed the high quality, hands on education you
deserve. The support services for international students are
among the best in the world.
6 | 2018 Aspire2 International
Stable economy
We have a democratic system of government
and our economy is growing and stable.
Work opportunities
We recognise that for many international students it
is important to be able to work, to support day to day
living. In New Zealand, there are work opportunities
available for international students. On a student visa,
you are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week. You
can also get a 12-month post-study work visa when
you successfully complete your qualification.

Why choose Aspire2 International?
Teachers who make a difference
Launching or extending your career begins
with a positive, engaging study experience.
Whatever path you are taking, that’s just what
you will get by working with our dedicated
and talented teachers, and enjoying our
welcoming campuses.
Counselling and support
Whether you are studying a long way from
home or in your home city, sometimes
you might need someone to talk to.
Feeling relaxed and enjoying your learning
experience is a large part of your success,
so we have counsellors to help you sort out
any problems – in your first language.
Study for real jobs in real industries
All our programmes have a practical focus. Everything you learn will give you the
skills to work in your chosen career. We work closely with industry partners to
ensure that what we are teaching is what they are looking for when you graduate.
Throughout your study, you will gain insights into real industries by hearing directly
from our industry partners.
Our English language
programmes and our range
of diplomas and certificates
are delivered using up-to-date
techniques and knowledge, and
in line with industry standards.
We work with the New Zealand
Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
and industry leaders to keep our
curriculum fresh and relevant.
An up-to-date range of study
8 | 2018 Aspire2 International
Life at Aspire2 International isn’t all
hard work – learning a new language,
new concepts or new ideas can be
tiring. It’s good to balance that work
with plenty of fun, and that’s why we
organise activities to encourage you
to mingle with other students and,
if you’re coming from overseas, to
experience Kiwi life.
Time for work and play
Help with employment
The Aspire2 Work team are dedicated
to helping you find work – whether that
is part time work while you study, or
full time work in your holidays or when
you have completed your studies.
Campuses in exciting locations
Our campuses are in some of New Zealand’s
most vibrant cities, just a step from shopping
malls, restaurants and theatres. In Auckland, for
instance, you can stroll down to the waterfront.
If you’re an international student, being in the
middle of a bustling city will also give you many
opportunities to practise your English.
Not only that, you will have everything you need
to learn and succeed. We work with employers in
each location so you have every chance to launch
or extend your career as part of your studies.

must include cover for student travel to and from New Zealand
for the duration of time that the student is enrolled. We can
arrange students’ insurance through OrbitProtect (for more
information go to www.orbitprotect.co.nz).
Alternatively, students can arrange their own insurance, and
they must provide proof of suitable insurance at the time of
enrollment. Please contact the Student Administrator for more
information on insurance.
If you have any questions about OrbitProtect insurance,
or if you wish to make a claim once the policy is in force,
OrbitProtect can be contacted on:

Health Services Eligibility
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded
health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical
treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs
of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded
health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and
can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Accident Insurance
The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident
insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary

medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed
on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz
Visas
International students are required to have a valid student visa
