Battleship in Mobile, Ala. As always, May is a busy month. The Good Guys event returns May 11 and 12. The will be no Sunday show this year. We will be working the gate Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, the 3rd South East Moparty Picnic will also be held that same weekend, with drag racing Friday night and the get together of the clubs on Saturday from 9 til 4. Memorial Day weekend brings Mopar Mania at the Somernites Cruise on Saturday May 26 in Somerset, Ky. This year's raffle car is a 1971 Dodge Challenger. On the club financial front, funding to help the Big Easy Mopar Club with food costs for what they do at our show, continued co-sponsorship of the South East Moparty Picnic, and a donation to the College Hills Fellowship House were all approved. We are working on having a Friday before our show tour event that includes a lunch cruise on the Gen. Jackson Showboat and a tour of the Opry House. We are working on info cards about the club that wecan pass out at cruise-ins and shows to help attract newmembers. We should also have new club business cards at the next meeting. The next meeting will be held Feb. 25th at the TCAT school in Smyrna. This will be the annual by-laws meeting. We will be voting on scholarship funding and a proposed lifetime membership for 25 year members and a way to purchase a lifetime membership that will include entry to our show each year. Ron Gillespie will be holding a tech session on wiringbefore the 2 pm meeting, so plan on getting there early to take advantage. Spring is on the way along with all of the cruise-ins and shows. I know everyone is looking forward to bringing out their Mopars and having a great year with the club. We'll see you at the next meeting.
