WELCOME LETTER

Dear Deepwater Operators and Suppliers,

As we emerge from one of the industry’s longest downturns, we are pleased to see how the industry is meeting challenges with new operating techniques, technologies and processes that improve deepwater developments’ cost-effectiveness while maintaining safety standards that are an absolute requirement for all of our operations. Although overall activity levels across then industry have fallen, some of the most exciting projects are underway: bringing fields online in near-record time, reaching record depths, and using new technologies to drive efficiencies. EniProgetti and Eni have focused on initiatives to efficiently meet global energy needs and maintain the highest safety standards. It’s the perfect time to welcome you to Milan for the MCE Deepwater Development 2018 conference. This leading industry event, which is now in its 15th year, brings together the strategic decision makers from across the deepwater oil and gas market. Through a focused technical program, creative networking opportunities and an extensive exhibition hall, the event creates a unique opportunity for participants to engage in critical dialogue around the industry’s future. Together with the Advisory Board, we have brought to the industry a technical program that will increase efficiency and safety standards. The roundtable discussions and technical presentations which will take place from April 9 – 11 at the Milan Marriott will address the most important issues faced by the industry. We believe you will find the program useful and that you will enjoy networking with your colleagues from around the world. So please let me welcome you to Milan and the MCE Deepwater Development conference 2018! We hope that your time here will be both productive and enjoyable! Sincerely, Luciano VasquesChairman & CEOEniProgetti

Whatever depth or distance you’re looking at, BHGE has the proven capabilities and focus to deliver top results. Just as important as the right technologies, is the fact that we listen to you, and collaborate openly every step of the way.

Early engagementRather than just looking at hardware or package options, we consider everything that makes a project both viable and successful, and then assess where we can add the most value. Instead of expecting you to fit with our approach, we adapt and align to your existing processes, and structure our teams to improve communication and overall progress.

Cost and cycle optimizationEvery BHGE project starts with critical risk assessment, and standardized inspection and test plans that have saved operators up to 80% versus past approaches. All our documentation is standardized too, meaning significantly fewer but more effective documents for every phase. Our RealTrack™ reporting gives you real-time access to all project statistics, test results, status reports, and plans. All these factors combine to deliver operational excellence that reduces overall project cost.

Product standardization and technical innovationFor years, our standardized, simplified, modular equipment designs have pushed boundaries in project engineering, and dramatically reduced customization costs—while still meeting all the unique needs of each field development. We don’t just take cost out, we put value and performance in—with more processes and higher performance below the surface every year.

Commercial innovation We’re committed to making your developments more affordable, not only by improving total cost of equipment ownership, but through service models that focus on productivity—and position you for long-term success. Our contractual service agreements guarantee performance and share risk. Our outcome-based solutions turn your data into significant operational and executional efficiencies. And our turnkey decommissioning services minimize complexity and cost in this final, crucial step.
