2018 SUPPORTER SPOTLIGHTS

HUNGER BASH GALAThe Food Group’s seventh annual Hunger Bash fundraising gala took place on

September 14 at McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis.

Together with over 375 guests, we raised more than $191,000 to fight hunger in our community. The event continues to grow, allowing us to help more people

each year. We would love to see you there in 2019!

I have the privilege of seeing this every day. Volunteers, donors, and community partners supporting us, so we can collectively do more in the community. I’m inspired every day seeing that where there is a need there are always people working for change. This is powerful and this builds community.

For more than 40 years The Food Group has worked to provide good foods to those who need it most in our community. Now working at both ends of the food system from production to distribution, we are focused on breaking down barriers to growing good food locally and getting good food to those who need it most.

With a strong continued focus on nutrition, equity, and fresh produce in everything we do, we look ahead to 2019 as a year to advance systems change, focus on community engagement, and do more to focus on the local food system.

Hunger continues at sustained levels in our community. We remain committed to making a difference and working for change. Our community report highlights the vital work we do, and the impact you provide.
