Annual Report Summary 2018-2019 Message from the Chairs The Inner Melbourne Action Plan (IMAP) is the successful collaboration between the Cities of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Yarra, Stonnington and the Maribyrnong City Council, working together on inner city regional issues to help make Melbourne one of the world’s most liveable cities. In 2018-19, IMAP partner Councils completed the upgrade of City of Melbourne’s Census for Land Use and Employment (CLUE) survey system’s technology upgrade - enabling all Councils access to the city’s business survey in future - and followed up the 2018 joint Street Count of rough sleepers through media releases and advocacy on ongoing funding needs. Ongoing work on the Wayfinding and Signage project, the Regional Active Recreation and Sporting Facilities project, and new initiatives modelling Inner Melbourne’s Cycling Infrastructure network, investigating the scalability of a Private Market Affordable Housing model and defining the IMAP Urban Forest plan have continued. The Committee identified demands from other partnerships now compete for staff resourcing on the IMAP projects. A full review of IMAP’s program was undertaken in 2019, reducing commitments and costs for 2019-20, and supporting a further review of purpose and structure. The Committee acknowledges the considerable support of staff and external partners on progressing the IMAP projects during 2018-19.
