A Message From President Douglas G. Lee

President Douglas G. Lee

Whether you’re a parent, an athlete, a mem-ber of the media or a spirited spectator, I am pleased to welcome you to our Yellow Jacket community and look forward to cheering on the Jackets with you!

As a member of the Presidents’ Athletic Con-ference (PAC), Waynesburg University offers 20 NCAA Division III varsity sports for our hundreds of student-athletes. While the reasons for par-ticipation in these sports are many, all of our athletic programs are aimed at helping our stu-dent-athletes grow spiritually, intellectually and athletically during their collegiate experience.

During the 2017-18 academic year, 134 Waynesburg University student-athletes earned recognition on the PAC fall and spring Aca-demic Honor Rolls, an impressive achievement that illustrates the caliber of student-athletes at Waynesburg. That total was tops amongst the 10 members schools of the conference.

Through the hard work and dedication of these same individuals, Waynesburg claimed four PAC team titles for a second-straight year.

Our goal is to provide our student-athletes with the best possible education and experienc-es that will prepare them to lead lives of purpose. We actively recruit student-athletes with high academic standards who will pursue excellence in the classroom and community while competing at the highest level in their chosen sport.

In addition to the accomplishments made by our student-athletes, Waynesburg University has also been recognized as a national leader in educational value and outcomes by U.S. News and World Report, Colleges of Distinction, Money Magazine and USA Today.

On behalf of Waynesburg University students, faculty and staff, I would like to thank you for your interest in our athletic programs. I hope that you enjoy another great year of athletic competition at Waynesburg University!

Douglas G. LeePresident
