Seed Packing Pizza Party & HNPAT January Meeting To Benefit KPC, HNPAT, HANC and others Wednesday, January 24, 2018 We’ve spent the last few months collecting native wildflower and grass seeds and now it’s time to pack them up for shipping to our volunteer seed growers. It’s also time for you to get your hands on some free native seeds! Pre-party walk: 5:00 pm - 6:00pm. A walk from the visitors' center to the Arboretum's prairie - the meadow. Along the way we will view the new savannah area where the Arboretum will be planting many of the 100,000 prairie plants that they are growing in cone-tainers. KPC and HNPAT would like to invite you to this special seed packing party at the Houston Arboretum on Wednesday, January 24 th . Our aim is to create hundreds of seed packets for about a dozen native species. These packets will be distributed to local volunteer seed growers who will raise plants for a variety of local prairie projects on the Katy Prairie, in Memorial Park, at schools, and churches. We’ll provide you with pizza and other refreshments. You bring a little energy and time! Date: Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM; pre-party hike starts at 5:00 PM at the visitors center Location: Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, 4501 Woodway Dr, Houston, TX 77024 What to Bring: Garden gloves.
