MYP Certificate Criteria
● participated in the programme for a minimum of one year
(MYP year 5)
● gained at least an IB grade of 3 or higher in all subjects
● gained at least a IB grade of 3 or higher for the personal
project
● gained a grade total of at least 21 from six subject groups
and the personal project combined, out of a possible
maximum of 49
● completed the school’s requirement for community service.
A grade from the following six subject groups must contribute
to the award of the certificate:
● language and literature
● language acquisition (or a second language and literature)
● individuals and societies
● mathematics
● sciences
● arts, physical and health education or design

• Students in these programs will require specific course programming and course selection

Super Achievers Requirements• A minimum of a C+ average which must be
maintained throughout the year.• Satisfactory grades, work habits, and attendance• Evidence of competition/performance at an
“elite” level• Minimum of 20 supervised training hours/week• New and returning students must apply
each year by supplying an updated Application Package.
Provincial ScholarshipsBC Excellence Scholarships• $5000 (awarded to 55 students)• Well-rounded graduates (community service,
leadership, academics, etc.)• Ministry application package• School/district nominated

AP at RockridgeEnglish, Chemistry, Calculus, Biology, European History, Psychology, Studio Art, Statistics, Physics 1, and Computer Science
• Open to Grade 11: Statistics, Psychology, Physics 1
• Grade 11- select a Pre - AP course (offered in English 11 , Biology 11, ICT, and Art 11)
• Grade 12 - select the AP course and write the AP exam or submit an AP portfolio
