DIXON PLANNING COMEBACKWide receiver Antwan DixonjoinedKentStatein2015andmadeanimmedi-ateimpactastruefreshman.Inonlyninegames,hecaught26passesfor355yardsandatouchdown.Dixonalsorushedfor162yardsandtwotouchdowns.Toward the end of the season his aplastic anemia slowly began taking a turn of fortheworse.

Paul Haynes is in his fifth season as head coach at Kent State University and his 12th season affiliated with the program.HayneswasintroducedastheGoldenFlashes’21st head football coach onDec. 18, 2012, 25 yearsafter he walked on to play football at Kent State as a collegefreshman.In2016,11GoldenFlashesearnedspotson theAca-demic All-MAC Team, while Nick Cuthbert became the second player during the Haynes era to earn Academic All-America honors inmultiple seasons.
