use challenges. It is essential that our communities be prepared to identify and support the more than 22 million veterans and their families who have served our country. Mental Health First Aid is a way to increase the level of baseline knowledge about mental health and substance use concerns and, if necessary, to help individuals get connected to care.

ROOM REGISTRATIONPLEASE BOOK EARLY!

The deadline date for making reservations at the Mandalay Bay Resort is 5:00 pm. Eastern Time, FRIDAY, JULY 7. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. If the Group Rate is not available, the Hotel’s rack rate will apply.

ROOM RATES

Rates are $174, USD for single, double, room. If an addition third or fourth person occupies the room, there will be a charge of $40 for each additional person. The Mandalay Bay Resort and the Delano Hotel will honor these dates three days pre- and post-conference dates. There is no additional charge for children under age 18 shar-ing with a parent using existing bedding. The Mandalay Bay Re-sort and the Delano Hotel will apply a daily Resort Fee of $32 and the current Clark County room tax of 13.38% (subject to change) to sleeping rooms on a daily basis.

THE RESORT FEE INCLUDES: High speed wireless internet service in guestroom and public areas, Cardio Center at the Beach Level of the Mandalay Bay, daily newspaper, unlimited local and 800 calls, outgoing faxes, and airline boarding pass printing at business cen-ter desks or Concierge. Delano Hotel guests will have complimen-tary access to Bath House Gym and Cardio Center, daily newspaper, unlimited local and 800 calls, outgoing faxes, and airline boarding pass printing at business center desks or Concierge.

NOTE: The Mandalay Bay Hotel and the Delano do not provide a complimentary coffee maker and coffee in the rooms. If you make a cup of coffee, there will be a $4 charge. You will be charged for all items on the bar or in the refrigerator that you consume.

ROOM GUARANTEE

Attendees should be prepared with a credit card to which the first nights room and tax and resort fee will be charged at the time the reservation is made. All guaranteed reservations will be held un-til 6:00 am only on the day after the confirmed arrival date.

We strongly suggest that you do NOT use a debit card to guarantee your room or incidentals at check-in.

CANCELLATIONS: Refunds will be issued at the time of cancellation of individual attendee’s reservations only if canceled at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the confirmed arrival date. If you canceled your reservation after the deadline, your credit card will be charged for one night’s stay. When you cancel, please note the cancelled reserva-tion number. There is no charge for early departures.

Registration for all attendees will begin on SUNDAY, JULY 30 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Attendees who registered in advance may check in at the registration desk and pick up all meeting materials, including badges, special session tickets and conference program book. On-site registration and individual ticket purchases will end at 2:00 pm on TUESDAY, AUGUST 1.

NOTE: GUESTS are defined as Non-Nurses. A RN/LPN/LVN cannot register as a guest. Guest registration includes sessions open to the public, conference institutes and workshops, refreshment breaks, exhibits, special activities, scheduled receptions, President’s Gala, and Sunday Brunch. Guests are considered FULL conference attendees. Ticket purchases are available to all interested parties and are restricted to the event indicated.

FIRST TIME ATTENDEESWelcome! if you are a new member or this is your first time attend-ing the conference this is the session for you. NBNA REGISTRATION PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICYPayments by CHECK must be received in the NBNA office by Friday, June 16, 2017. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 16. Payments may be made by money order or credit card (MasterCard or VISA) ONLY. You may register on-line at NBNA.org until FRIDAY, JULY 7. Should it become necessary for you to cancel your registra-tion, WRITTEN notification must be received (not postmarked) by Friday, June 16. Refunds will be made 90 days following the con-clusion of the NBNA Conference. A $50 administrative fee will be deducted from the total amount refunded. WHAT TO WEARThe attire for business sessions and educational sessions is business casual. Always bring a sweater or wrap, meeting rooms can be chilly. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2: show solidarity with women and heart health by wearing a red item of clothing or a red accessory. Please wear comfortable shoes.

n GALA TICKETS with your table number will be included in the REGISTRATION PACKET of all Conference Attendees and Registered Guests. individually purchased tickets will also be included in the packet of the Registered Attendee.

n Individual ticket purchases to the President’s Gala MUST be purchased by JUNE 16, 2017 AND the NBNA Member/Guest relationship must be clearly identified at time of purchase in order to guarantee appropriate seating.

n Tickets will be collected at the door. NBNA Members and their guests will be guaranteed seating with their chapter if their registration form and payment are received in the National Office by JUNE 16, 2017.

8. If you do not get the CEU certificate on the day of the session, you will not get a certificate. You cannot come the next day to pick up your certificate. You must stay the entire time to receive CEUs.

9. The NBNA National Office does NOT have CEU evaluation forms or CEU certificates. Obtain them from the Cedars Sinai Depart-ment of Nursing staff who are on site at the NBNA Conference.

10. There are no CEUs for Opening Ceremony.

11. Treat NBNA staff, paid support staff, volunteers, sponsors, exhibi-tors and hotel staff with respect.

12. Bring your business card and resume to share with sponsors, ex-hibitors and speakers.

13. The attire is business casual.

14. Do not place your CEU certificate in your conference book or bag.

15. If you are an exhibitor and also a member of NBNA, you must pay the conference registration fee if you wish to attend the NBNA Business Meeting.

16. If you are a speaker and also a member of NBNA, you must pay the speaker registration fee if you wish to attend the NBNA Business Meeting.
