3 2017 BREAKFAST OF CORPORATE CHAMPIONS

Welcome to the Women’s Forum of New York’s 2017 Breakfast of Corporate Champions – our fourth biennial salute to the companies and CEOs accelerating gender balance on corporate boards. Today we honor the S&P 500 and F1000 companies with at least 25% of board seats held by women. These companies and their leaders are the decision makers and change drivers that can achieve gender parity in the boardroom by 2025. Champion CEOs will share why gender balance in the boardroom is a strategic business imperative and how to make it happen.

This is a morning that will be inspirational, aspirational and motivational. Thank you for being a part of it.

Janice Reals Ellig Chair, 2017 Breakfast of Corporate Champions CEO, The Ellig Group

“We want to encourage all public companies to put more women on their boards, because more diverse boards deliver better decisions collectively for shareholders, for customers and for employees.”

Maggie Wilderotter Honorary Co-Chair 2017 Breakfast of Corporate Champions Former Executive Chairman and CEO Frontier Communications

The Women’s Forum of New York is an organization of 500 of the city’s most accomplished women leaders in every professional sector from finance to fine arts - all unified by the shared belief that the potential for women is unlimited and opportunities should be as well.

We are delighted to salute companies and leaders accelerating the advancement of women onto corporate boards and reaping the rewards. By shining a light on their success we hope to inspire others and help achieve gender balance in the boardroom by 2025.

Carolyn Carter President, Women’s Forum of New York Former CEO, Grey Group, Europe Middle East & Africa

“The single most important reason to diversify corporate boards is performance. The talent is there – it’s up to us as CEOs and Chairmen to make it happen.”

The Women’s Forum of New York’s Database of Board Ready Women is a resource of women uniquely vetted for Board positions because they’ve been sponsored by a CEO. This database was launched in 2013 and is available free of charge to Nom/Gov committees and search firms with active searches. Contact us at womensforumny.org
