In 2016, the community banded together and generously raised more than $500,000. United Way is extremely grateful to agency partners, donors, businesses, individuals, and volunteers who continuously demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the community. United Way also extends great appreciation to Guthrie for serving as the Corporate Partner to help cover costs of campaign events and fundraising efforts. By working with 44 agency partners, United Way is proud to fund programs that make a measurable difference throughout our county over the last 40 years. With continued support, United Way will be able to continue investing in programs that matter right here in Bradford County. United Way of Bradford County unveiled the results of the Com-munity Needs Assessment on May 10th, 2016 as part of the Nonprofit Training Workshop Se-ries. This session, titled “Uncov-ering the Results & Resources,” included focus groups on each of the four needs identified by the assessment: Drugs and Al-cohol; Housing; Social Services and Transportation. The power point and 13-page executive sum-mary from this session can be found online under “our Work” at unitedwaybradfordcounty.org/community-needs-assesment.

ALLETE/Armenia Mountain Wind employees volunteered for a Day of Caring March 5th, 2016 at the Bradford County Heritage Association,

where they hung garage doors and painted parts of the museum.

Gannon Associates, PS Bank, Tuscarora Wayne Group, and other companies volunteered with the American Red Cross’s United Way sponsored “Smoke Alarm Installation Project” on July 8th, 2016. 235 lithium ion smoke alarms were installed

along with fire prevention and home escape plans.

At their Annual Dinner in April of 2016, the Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce presented “The Helping Hands Award” to United Way for being a “Nonprofit Organization with
