Junior League of St. Louis Annual Report 2013-2014 COMMUNITY IMPACT

Mission Statement The Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair aims to connect North City St. Louis families with information and resources in the areas of finance,

education, employment, housing, legal assistance, healthcare, and wellness in a fun, family-friendly, safe, low stress environment.

Strong Women & Families Health & Resource Fair 2017 Event Report by London Gleghorn

In 2016, Junior League of St. Louis launched Day 366, an initiative aimed at dramatically reducing infant mortality in St. Louis City and St. Louis County. Every week in St. Louis City and St. Louis County, 46 babies are born too early, 32 babies are born too small and five babies die before their first birthdays. For babies – and their mothers – reaching the 366th day of life as stress-free as possible is vital to changing infant mortality rates in St. Louis. JLSL members are making a difference through Day 366, contributing their time to volunteer work, community partnerships, and advocacy. On May 7, 2018 over 25,000 infant necessity items were distributed to five St. Louis agencies:

• Grace Hill Settlement House

• Haven of Grace

• Infant Loss Resources

• Lydia’s House

• Nurses for Newborns
