L'APEEEL2 vous informe... REMINDER : Access by train : CFL is working on the line Luxembourg-Arlon. As a consequence, there are no train until the 14/09. Secondary pupils We would like to inform you that from this year the "myCardElève", which is a travel pass, can now be used by students on any public transport throughout the Grand Duché for a whole year from the date of issue and can be used at any time of day. This means that your child will no longer need a Jumbokaart. The myCardElève will be provided by the School at the end of September, until then, pupils MUST carry their ID and the school certificate, which they received on their first day back at school, when they are using public transport. Nursery and Primary pupils The parents of Nursery and Primary children who USE the school buses will receive from their child’s class teacher a special form to complete, it will inform the school which bus route your child/children will use. A card will then be issued with this information to each child so that s/he can be accompanied by teachers to the correct bus.. Délégués de classe / Class representatives Comme à chaque rentrée scolaire, vous allez être invités lors des réunions d'information dans la classe de votre enfant, à élire vos représentants de parents qui auront comme tâche principale de vous représenter vis-à-vis de l’enseignant, de l’APEEEL2 et de l’Ecole. Coffee Morning Networking The first CoMoNe of this new school year will be on Tuesday 20 September, where you will have the opportunity to meet representatives of all the associations that are involved in School life. For new parents, CoMoNe is a great opportunity to make new contacts Careers’ Day / Forum des métiers After the success of the first Careers’ Day, Forum des métiers, organized last year jointly by APEEEL2 and the School, the second one will take place on Friday 23rd September from 16:00. APEEEL2 and the School (are organising this event to allow 5th, 6th and 7th year students to learn about different career opportunities). They would like to thank all the speakers who have already offered to come and talk about their careers and share their professional experiences with the pupils. WE NEED YOUR HELP : There will be speakers from many different fields but certain fields are not yet represented. If you or someone you know work in the medical, or pharmaceutical fields, work in field using mathematics or as an actor, writer, athlete or professional coach, and would be willing to share their professional experience, we would appreciate it if you/they could contact us as soon as possible on careersday2016@gmail.com or sign up on https://goo.gl/forms/B5K1Zl9OBrODARfh2. Our Mission Our mission as APEEEL2 is to continue building a multicultural school community based on trust and dialogue in order to nurture each pupil’s skills, talents and aspirations. We are active participants in the Education Councils, as well as in the School Advisory Council and Administration Board meetings, and in the Canteen, Health and Safety, Library Committees.

We communicate important information about the School. We provide advice to parents on different issues (bullying and discipline, choice of options, Educational Support, ONL, SWALS etc.). We provide support to, and work alongside the School, in the organisation of various activities and events (CoMoNe, School Fête, BAC ceremony) as well as specific initiatives (Careers event, talks for parents). We co-ordinate the class delegates network. We maintain a Social Fund to provide financial assistance, under certain conditions, and are statutory members of the Coopérative Scolaire which has been set up recently to better manage the organisation of the non-obligatory school trips. We actively support our partner Associations: Actions sans frontières, ATSEEE, FairTrade, Mots de Zaza…and much more… Permanence A Secretariat presence will be available in the Office space in the Administration Building we use as follows: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday – 08:30 – 12:30 Wednesdays – 14:00 – 16:00 The telephone number to call during these times is: 273 224 5127.
