The 2016 Women’s Film Festival San Diego strives to educate and inspire future generations about the experiences and contributions of women through the art of film. Our festival topic this year acknowledges the women who have continued to march as they seek to reach gender equality in the workplace, education, sports, and ending violence against women. The film festival takes place throughout the month of March offering screenings both on Wednesdays and Sundays. The educational programming outline includes organized discussion groups about the films and a panel of female filmmakers talking about their experiences and struggles in the industry. The festival is a multi-day event that is entertaining, informative, and provides audiences with the opportunity to learn about the important topics that affect and inspire women.

All excess funds will be applied to the operational costs that the Women’s Museum accrues hosting the film festival at the Museum. The Women's Museum of California is one of only six museums in the country focused on women's history. Founded in 1983 as the Women's History Reclamation Project, the Museum is a 501(c)3 nonpro�t organization that seeks to reclaim the often-overlooked contributions and achievements of women throughout history while inspiring women today to represect and honor all women and their experiences.
