EMS USA, Inc.Founded in early 2003, a team of energy industry professionals

had a vis ion; to create a ‘one-stop-shop’ energy service company

that would change the way pipel ine operations and maintenance

would be managed throughout the United States. The company

would be known as EMS USA, Inc. (“EMS USA”) .

Within the f i rst few months of operat ion EMS USA looked towards making a key acquis i t ion to move from the boardroom to the operat ions s ide of the energy sector . A strategic decis ion was made to purchase Hanover Measurement Services, LP, and EMS USA Pipel ine Services was created. From that moment on, i t was c lear that an aggress ive expan- s ion program was underway. Al l iances were formed and further acquis i t ions were made. Meanwhi le, the operat ions s ide of the business was growing fast and EMS USA began creat ing a reputat ion for provid ing qual i ty operat ions and maintenance services with in the energy industry.

Our successes have been recognized by both the energy industry and the general bus iness community. EMS USA has been nominated and been presented with several awards including The World Oi l Awards, and the Houston Business Journal ’s Smal l Bus iness Award, two years in a row. In 2009 EMS USA was recognized by the Inc . 500 as the 302nd fastest growing company in the United States .

In the f i rst 6 years, EMS USA grew s ignif icant ly and hired many industry leaders to manage and run th is growing company. In 2006 EMS USA achieved another major mi lestone. This t ime, EMS USA acquired an addit ional four companies at the same t ime, fur ther expanding to the already comprehensive scope of services avai lable to the energy industry.

Today, EMS USA current ly provides a fu l l range of operat ions and maintenance (O&M) services to more than 500 cl ients inc luding many blue chip oi l and gas explorat ion and product ion companies, major pipel ine, midstream pipel ine owners and operators, local d istr ibut ion companies (LDCs) , independent power, ref iners, ut i l i t ies, LNG, power and pipel ine operators throughout the United States .

Coupled with the f ie ld instal lat ion and maintenance of these systems, EMS has the only independent P ipel ine Operat ions Control Center in the United States . Data from the sensors instal led at a wel lhead or along a pipel ine (valves, volume controls, etc . ) are transmitted to the EMS Control Center in Houston where ski l led operators cont inual ly monitor and manage the systems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
