We are a full service transportation partner, offering you more than preferred pricing and best practices, we are your one stop shop for group transportation.

How does it work? Simply submit a request and we will take it from there - negotiating, booking, reconfirming and quality control – all on your behalf. It’s our job to make you look good!

1. Can I trust these prices? Yes. Local prices have been contracted for you though Over

the Road rates can vary depending on mileage so we ask that you contact us for those.

2. How long will it take to get a price? We strive for same day service and in most

cases will get you rates quicker than contacting bus companies directly.

3. What if I’m not sure what the Group needs? With tens of thousands of trips under

our control, we can help you with itinerary design, equipment selection and more.

4. Will you always be the least expensive? Most of the time we have better or equal

prices, but more importantly, we have better equipment.

5. Why can get better prices than if I went direct? As a wholesaler, it’s all about

buying power and various relationships in the local markets.

6. When will I know the bus company? We confirm the company and dispatch

information when quoting and at time of booking. Our partners are listed on the price

lists. No surprises!

7. When will I know information about the driver? We always reconfirm the driver

the day before your trip and provide you with the details.

8. Can I get Insurance Certificates? Of course! Just ask, we keep them all on file.

9. Can I sleep at Night? You can, I Love Groups operates a 24/7 Support Center. Nothing

usually goes wrong, but peace of mind is important.

10. What if I need help in a City not in your Planner? Just because you can’t see it,

doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist- just send a quick email and we’ll let you know if we can help-

chances are we have a great partner waiting to work with you.

Best Practices for Organizing Group Transportation

Avoid early morning departures. Drivers must prepare for your trip hours before your

scheduled pick up time, tasks can include getting to the garage, conducting a mandatory safety

inspection and driving to the pick up location.

Don’t even consider overnight trips. It is the policy of I Love Groups, and many respectable

coach operators, to refuse any trips which involve overnight transportation.

Use only insured transportation providers. Companies must carry a minimum of $5M of

Insurance and many carry more. Those providers carrying $10M - $20M of Insurance have expertise

in dealing with professional organizations.

Ask to be added as a certificate holder on the carriers Certificate of Liability. This is a

service we will handle for you.

Make accommodations for maximum driving hours. The Federal Government has set

maximum driving hours for a reason and they are not flexible. As planners, do not design itineraries

that are close to the legal driving hours. Build in time for the unexpected, such as traffic, food stops

and tour director requests.

*15 Hour On Duty Limit: Following 8 consecutive hours off duty, a driver may be on duty for 15 hours

*10 Hour Driving Limit: Following 8 consecutive hours off duty, a driver may drive for 10 hours

Research your Motorcoach provider. Not all companies are created equal, visit DOT Company

Snapshot to see safety profiles and insurance records, or ask us to do it for you.

Visit a garage. We trust the DOT and TSX experts for the vehicle inspections, but as travel experts,

we need to make the effort to visit their facilities. If we take the time to do hotel site inspections, as an

industry, we should also do garage inspections. I Love Groups visits garages each year, and base our

recommendations on the results of these site inspections.

Match companies and drivers to your groups. Often providers specialize in a category of travel

and you should take this into consideration, a limo company specializing in party buses and casino

trips may not have the best equipment or drivers for your group of executives.

Consider value, not only price. An extremely low price can be an indicator of low quality. Coach

companies that charge more often pay their drivers more, have newer vehicles, carry more insurance,

do more maintenance and invest more in driver training to uphold industry leading standards. An

extra $1 - $2 per person can save you thousands later.

Unplanned Stops and Special Detours: What You Should Know About Canadian Hours of Service Rules

For your safety…and that of other road users, your motor coach driver’s hours of service are strictly regulated by Federal and Provincial laws. These laws limit the number of hours a driver can drive in a day, the length of a work shift, and the number of work hours a driver can accumulate over a multiday period. These are the rules for Canada (effective January 1, 2007)

• Your driver can drive up to 13 hours in a 24hour day. • Your driver must not exceed 14hours on duty in a 24hour day. • Your driver must be off duty for a minimum of 10 hours in a 24hour day. • Your driver cannot drive after 16 hours has elapsed since the driver

started his or her work shift (regardless of the number of onduty hours). Example: If your driver begins his/her work shift at 6:00 am, he/she cannot drive after 10:00 pm and must take at least 8 hours offduty before driving again.

• Your driver cannot begin a new work shift without first taking at least 8 consecutive hours offduty.

• Your driver may work up to 70 hours in any period of 7 days (which includes driving and nondriving duties). Also, the driver must have at least one 24hour break in the preceding 14 days.

.If these limits are exceeded… • Your driver and the bus company and you can be charged and fined,

threatening the bus company’s operating privileges and your pocketbook. • Your driver can be placed “out of service” at a roadside inspection for up

to 72 hours. How will anyone find out?

• Your driver’s log book can be examined at any time during a trip by police or government transportation enforcement officers.

• Audits of driver and company records at the bus company’s premises will detect hours of service violations.

So, please don’t ask your driver to break the law by exceeding these limits. After all, the safety of your group is our number one priority!

Unplanned Stops and Special Detours: What You Should Know About US Hours of Service Rules

Your motorcoach driver works hard to accommodate customer requests…but in the case of making unplanned stops or detours, sometimes he or she is simply unable to oblige. Just like an airline pilot, the number of hours that any one motorcoach driver can be on duty are strictly limited by Federal law. *

What are the facts? • Your driver can drive up to 10 hours, and then must have 8 hours off

duty before driving again. • Your driver may work for up to 15 hours, which includes both driving

and nondriving duties. Once the 15 hour limit is reached, the driver must have 8 hours off duty.

• Your driver may work up to 70 hours in any 8day period, which includes driving and nondriving duties. A driver may not drive after reaching this limit.

The consequences of exceeding these limits include: • Your driver being put "out of service" on the spot, during a surprise

state or federal roadside inspection of your driver’s log book, severely delaying your group while another driver is located and transported to your motorcoach

• The safety of your entire group being put at extreme risk, due to driver fatigue

• Further penalties to your driver and bus company, including criminal penalties, that could threaten their livelihoods

So, please don't pressure your driver to break the law by changing your itinerary! Remember, the lives of your entire group are in your driver's hands.

We recommend a Mini Bus for small groups and for short local journeys. These are the perfect vehicles for airport transfers, in town sightseeing tours, weddings and corporate outings. We don’t recommend these for long distance or multi day trips.
