Dear Colleague,

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is still the most widely used method for large

scale testing of plant viruses and other pathogens, despite being limited by many separate

operating steps necessary and results only becoming available at the second day.

We are always keen to advance our diagnostic capabilities, to investigate into new

developments and subsequently to provide our customers with innovative diagnostic

products. This year, we are proud to present a revolutionary new ELISA technique, the B-Fast

ELISA, which combines the robustness of an ELISA with the speed of PCR. This superior virus

test allows obtaining reliable ELISA results within only two hours and is now available as an

alternative to our standard ELISA sets. While we are currently expanding the range of the B-

Fast products, we offer B-Fast ELISA for the detection of the first 10 virus species highlighted

below.

3. Positive controls in ELISA may vary in OD values according to plant virus species and strains, and plant tissue used. We recommend Greiner medium binding ELISA plates.

4. Virus inocula viability can be affected, e.g. during transport. Replacement cultures will be supplied if the DSMZ is informed within two months after receipt of the material.

5. DSMZ products have a guaranteed minimum shelf life of 6 month from the date of delivery when stored according to the specifications. No further warranties are given. If you have any questions about specification or performance of our tests, please send your inquiries to [email protected].

6. Import Licence

There may be restrictions or prohibitions of import of certain antibodies, conjugates, positive controls, virus inocula and other reagents into certain countries. It is the responsibility of the customer to check such necessities and/or to receive a permit to handle our products, and where necessary to provide the DSMZ with import documentation to accompany the product.

Payment

Payments should be made according to the specification given on the invoice. Amounts are expressed in Euro and are payable immediately after receipt of goods and invoice (separate cover) without further discount.

All prices are net without the possibility of further discount. Value added tax (at present 7%) will be charged in addition, if applicable. All orders placed outside Germany are subject to a handling and banking charge depending on the amount of the invoice (see table below).

Each kit (100 µl test volume/well) contains a frame with twelve 8-well strips, 2 vials with each 1.4 ml ‘ready to use’ (prediluted) capture antibody, 2 vials with each 1.4 ml ‘ready to use’ (prediluted) detection antibody and a detailed protocol. The strips and antibodies of the DSMZ B-Fast ELISA kit are not compatible with other plates/strips or antibodies!
