deepandtheturnendis4’deep.ThecompetitioncoursehasbeencertifiedbyUSA

Swimmingasa“PermanentRacingCourse.”Thecopyofsuchcertificationisonfile

withUSASwimming.

Individualeventswillbeswumascombinedagegroupsaslistedintheentryliston

16,and17-21;boys&girlsforeachagegroup.Alleventswillstartfromthestarting

blockendofthepool.

The1000-yardFreestyleand500-yardFreestylemaybedeckseeded,ifrequired,after

positivecheck-inasamixedagegroupandsinglesexeventandwillbescoredbyage

groupandfemale/male.Swimmersinthe1000Free&500Freemustprovidetheir

owntimersandtheirowncounters.The1000-yardFreestyleand500-yardFreestyle

willbeswumfastesttoslowestandwillalternategirlsandboysheats.

AttheMeetReferee’sdiscretion,eventsmaybecombinedbyage,gender,provided

thereisatleastoneemptylanebetweensuchcombinedevents.TheRefereemay

waivetheemptylanerequirementwiththeconcurrenceofthecoachesoftheaffected

swimmers.

Ifonlyafewswimmersareenteredintoanevent,othereventsmaybecombined,

seededandswumasamixedeventatthemeetreferee’sdiscretion,butwillbescored

andawardedbysexandagegroup.

Relayswillbeseededandswumasmixed.Teamsmaycompeteasallgirls,allboys,or

amixofboysandgirls.

RACINGSTARTS Anyswimmerenteredinthemeet,unaccompaniedbyanUSASwimmingmember

coach,mustbecertifiedbyanUSASwimmingmembercoachasbeingproficientin

performingaracingstartormuststarteachracefromwithinthewater.Itisthe

responsibilityoftheswimmerortheswimmer’slegalguardiantoensurecompliance

withthisrequirement.Anyswimmerswhomuststartinthewatershallbelistedina

separatedocumentreturnedwiththeentries.

SAFETY TheMontanaSwimmingSafetyguidelinesareineffectforthismeetandwillbe

enforced.

Forcircleswimmingduringwarm-upsandcooldowns,swimmersmustenterthepoolusingathreepointentry.

Coachesareadvisedtocloselysupervisetheirswimmersatalltimes,andare

responsibleforinformingswimmersoftheprovisionsofthesafetycodebefore

attendingthemeet.

NOrunningorhorseplaywillbetolerated.

ASafetyMarshallwillbeondeckduringthemeet.

RULES

ThismeetwillbeconductedinaccordancewiththecurrentUSASwimmingand

MontanaSwimmingRulesandRegulations,exceptwhererulesthereinareoptional

andexceptionsarestated.

AllswimmersmustbeunderthesupervisionofaUSASmembercoachduringallwarm-

ups,competition,andwarm-downs.Swimmerscompetingatthemeetwithouttheir

regularcoachinattendancewillbeassignedtoacoachinattendanceatthemeet.

Swimmersmayrequestbeingassignedtoaspecificcoachatregistration.

Useofaudioorvisualrecordingdevices,includingacellphone,isnotpermittedinchangingareas,restroomsorlockerrooms.

Exceptwherevenuefacilitiesrequireotherwise,changingintooroutofswimsuitsotherthaninlockerroomsorotherdesignatedareasisnotappropriateandisprohibited.

Noglasscontainers,tobacco,oralcoholicbeveragesareallowedintheswimming

venue.

TheUSASwimmingCodeofConductandathleteprotectionprovisionswillbe

enforced.

AllpersonsactinginanycoachingcapacityondeckmustbecurrentlyregisteredcoachmembersofUSASwimming.

Swimmer,official,andcoachregistrationwillbeconfirmedwithMontanaSwimming

RegistrationChairpersonpriortothestartofthemeet.

Thismeetmaybecoveredbythemedia,includingphotographs,video,webcasting

andotherformsofobtainingimagesofathletesparticipatinginthemeet.Entryinto

themeetisacknowledgementandconsenttothisfact.

ELIGIBILITY SwimmersmustberegisteredwithUSASwimmingandMontanaSwimmingfor2016.

Swimmersmustberegisteredpriortoentrydeadline.TherewillbenoondeckUSA

Swimmingregistrationavailableatthismeet.Teamsenteringswimmerswhoarenot

currentlyregisteredUSASwimmingathletemembersmaybefined$25perswimmer

bytheMontanaSwimmingRegistrationChair.

AllSwimmers,includingthosealreadyqualifiedforState,areinvitedtoentertheBC

MeetinanyeventthattheyhavenotachievedbetterthanaBtime.

SwimmersmayenteranyeventinwhichtheydoNOThavea“BB”timeorbetter,inanycourse(SCY,LCM,SCM),sinceJanuary1,2015.Swimmers8&Undermayenteranyeventforwhichtheydonothaveastatequalifyingtimeinanycourse.

Swimmer’sageasofthefirstdayofthemeet(March5,2016)shalldeterminethe

swimmer’sagegroup.

EXCEPTION1:8&Underswimmersmayelecttoswimeitherin8&UndereventsORin

10&Underevents,butnotboth.

EXCEPTION2:AnyswimmerwhoagesuptoahigheragegroupbetweenMarch5,

2016andMarch18,2016mayentertheeventsinthathigheragegroupaslongasthey

havenotachievedaBBtimeinthateventinanycourseinthathigheragegroup.This

swimmermustthenswimalleventsinthathigheragegroupforthemeet.Theymay

SWIMMERSWITHDISABILITIES

LakeMonstersSwimTeamwelcomesallswimmerswithdisabilitiesasdescribedinthe

USASwimmingRulesandRegulations,Article106,tocompeteatthemeet.Disabled

swimmersortheircoachesarerequiredtoprovideadvancenoticeinwritingtothe

meetrefereeandmeetdirectortoarrangeforanyneededaccommodationsincluding

Eachteam’stotalwillbea“weightedaverage”basedonthenumberofmembersona

particularteamversusthenumberofswimmersenteredinthemeet.

Therewillbetwoscoringrelaycategories,10&Under,and11&Over.Weexpecteach

teamtobeallowedtwo(2)scoringrelayteamsperday,one(1)scoringrelayineach

relayevent.An“official”relayteammustbecomprisedoftwo(2)maleandtwo(2)

femaleswimmers.Tothegreatestextentpossibleeachrelayteamshouldconsistofa

swimmerfromeachagegroupwithintherelayagecategory.Theactualnumberof

relayscoringteamsallowedperteamwillbedeterminedoncethemeetisseeded.

Eachteamwillthenbeallowedanequalnumberof“scoring”relays.
