• You meet the following criteria to apply for TheDream.US Scholarship:

- Be eligible for in-state tuition;

- Be enrolled full-time (at least 12 units) for each consecutive academic term (except summer) unless you

have confirmed break in enrollment;

- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher;

- Remain current on all your college accounts and charges

- Meet all your Scholar Commitments; and

- Maintain your DACA or TPS status, or meet the immigration eligibility criteria required for the

program

ELIGIBILITY

ELIGIBILITY (CONT.)Immigration eligibility criteria for DACA:

• You were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012;

• You came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday;

• You have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;

• You were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012 and had no lawful status;

• You are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a generaleducation development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; and

• You have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors in the categories which would have disqualified you for DACA, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety; and

• You will apply for lawful presence or legal status as soon as the laws allow you to do so

• High School or GED Graduates:

- Are not and have not previously been enrolled in a four-year institution or bachelor program

• Current Community College Students:

- May apply as long as they have enrolled in less than 21 units (not counting credits earned in

a pre-college or dual enrollment program).

• Community College Graduates:

- Are not and have not previously been enrolled in a four-year institution or bachelor program

- Enroll full time in a bachelor’s degree program no later than the Spring of the 2019-2020

academic term at a TheDream.US partner university.

• Do I have to reapply each year?

- No, but you must renew your Scholarship each academic year. You will be asked to confirm your continuing eligibility and provide a copy of your official transcript, as well as to identify any other financial aid or scholarships that you are receiving.

• What do I have to do to continue to be eligible for my scholarship?

- Maintain a cumulative GPA of “B” (3.0/4.0) or better in the program;

- Remain continuously enrolled;

- Remain current on all your college accounts and charges; and

- Remain DACA or TPS eligible and timely renew your DACA or TPS status.

• If I transfer to another Partner College, will I lose my scholarship?

- You will not lose your scholarship. The scholarship will still be transferred so long as you are accepted to and

attending one of our Partner Colleges and you have met your scholarship commitments.

FAQ

• CA DREAM is open! Apply before March 2, 2019.

• Apply for other scholarships (see Immigrants Rising’s scholarship packet).

• Follow the Connect 4 process for a smooth transition to Mt.SAC.

• Apply for EOPS. This program provides educational and financial support services to

eligible students who have historically experienced economic and educational

disadvantages.
