Global Health/Medical Trips: In college, I started an NGO, Serve Beyond Cincinnati, with a mission to encourage college students to serve the less fortunate. We planned alternative spring/winter break trips to dierent countries. I led 4 trips to dierent locations in Mexico. Prior to medical school, I spent several months in India. Half of the time I worked in a community health department that did village outreach and the other half was spent at Mother Teresa’s Home for the Dying and Destitute. I spent 6 months in Peru working in a small village on local public health initiatives/ financial cooperatives. In medical school, I spent a summer in Ghana and went to Honduras for a medical mission. I went to both Gallup, NM and Malawi with the GH residency program.
