Global Partners TrainingNairobi, Kenya

You Are TeachingEquipping local Chicago pastors and ministry leaders—Moody Bible Institute Distance Learning, in partnership with the President’s office, began offering affordable on-campus courses to equip pastors and lay leaders in Chicago churches. A group of 135 participants attended the first class, held on Saturday mornings.

Preaching the Word—21,000 people attended Founder’s Week sessions in Chicago. The livestream sessions were viewed more than 55,000 times by 29,000 people. People across the globe watched 26,000 hours of Founder’s Week!

Providing Bible training in West Africa—250 pastors and ministry leaders in Ghana received solar-powered audio players equipped with Moody Radio School of the Bible lessons in the Akan language, through a partnership between Moody Radio and Theovision International, a Ghanian ministry organization.

Interpreting the Word—More than 2.1 million combined volumes of The MacArthur New Testament Commentary series have sold since it was first released in 1983. This year marked Moody Publishers’ completion of the historic series.

You Are SendingCommissioning the next generation—Moody graduated 865 students, its largest graduating class in history.

Currently Moody has enrolled 2,853 undergraduate and 745 graduate students. We have students from 77 countries; 10 percent of the student body is international. The top represented countries are South Korea, Canada, India, China, and Romania.

Equipping missionary aviators—Since 1946 Moody Aviation has trained more than 1,000 missionary pilots and mechanics.

Currently 115 students are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Missionary Aviation Technology program.

Inspiring believers to go—After reading the Moody Publishers book Surrender: The Heart God Controls by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, Abby was inspired by the story of Betty Stam, a Moody alumna and martyr. The book quotes Betty’s prayer: “Lord, I give up my own plans and purposes, all my own desires, hopes, and ambitions, and I accept

Thy will for my life.” Today, Abby is headed to Mali or Peru as a missionary.

You Are ReachingConnecting new radio listeners—This year, Moody Radio purchased radio signals in Nashville, expanding listenership to the area’s almost two million residents. “We now have the incredible opportunity to reach an additional half million new listeners with the gospel,” said Collin Lambert, vice president of Moody Radio.

Training leaders overseas— A Moody Radio team hosted a global training conference for ministry leaders in Nairobi, Kenya. Another group of Moody staff, faculty, and students headed to Sofia, Bulgaria, in November. Thanks to the two conferences, more than

250 men and women are now prepared for deeper, more impactful media ministry.

Helping the hurting—In Chicago, the Moody Theological Seminary Counseling Center opened its doors in May, allowing the community access to counseling while giving seminary students internship opportunities. On the Michigan campus, the InterSessions counseling clinic continues to impact underserved community members. Last year the clinic served 200 clients.
