S.A.L.T.Student Advisory Leadership Team

S A L T is a self-sustaining group made up of local Middle School and High School students who want to make a difference in the community They are credited with providing over a dozen safe activities a year for teens and the community The goal is to provide positive alternative activities that students will want to participate in S A L T holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 6:00pm, where new events are planned and ideas are discussed to better the community If you are interested in learning more, contact Windsor Community Recreation Center at 970-674-3500

Refund Policy:After initial registration, a refund request is required in writing a minimum of five (5) days prior to the start of any class or program to receive a full refund unless otherwise noted Four (4) days prior to the start date and through the first week of the session, 50% of the registration fee is refundable No refunds or transfers will be allowed after the first week of the session unless circumstances, stated in writing, warrant consideration Refund request forms are located at the Community Recreation Center or visit www windsorgov com Full refunds will be given if the Recreation Division cancels a class or program Please note: minimum participation numbers must be met or programs may be cancelled No refunds or transfers will be accepted less than two (2) days prior to the start of a program that only meets once

Payments All major forms of credit cards are accepted as well as cash, checks, money orders or cashier checks **Payments by check: The Town of Windsor will charge a $15 service fee for all checks not honored for any reason by the bank Checks should be made payable to “Town of Windsor” and should include your driver’s license or identification number, issuing state, and expiration date ** Full payment must be made at the time of registration.

Deadlines:The registration deadlines for each event are listed in this brochure under the event description A “first come, first served” wait list will be maintained after the deadline date to fill any remaining event openings

Minimums/Maximums:Class sizes are limited to assure class quality and safety Minimum participation numbers must be met or programs may be cancelled

Waiting List Procedure:Waiting lists are a source of contact and do not guarantee you will receive a call back We will contact you only if a space becomes available Waiting lists for a closed class or sport provides us with a name and phone number in the event of a cancellation or if a new class is added It does not limit you from registering for any other open class

Reduced FeesEligible participants in our Reduced Fee Program can receive a discount off the registration fee Applications are available at the Community Recreation Center or online at www windsorgov com Please see page 26 for information

Notice to Participants:Participants must recognize that all classes/activities of a physical nature involve some risk and by registering for a class/activity of this nature, there is an assumption of risk by the participant Every effort is made to ensure the safety of the participants and to provide them with first class recreational facilities, activities and parks In the event of a serious accident or illness, it is the policy of the Town of Windsor to:1 Call 911 for emergency personnel for first aid 2 Reach the parent or guardian as soon as the situation allows Each registration must have a waiver signed by either a parent or legal guardian.

Team Selection:The Parks, Recreation & Culture Department’s goal is to provide participants opportunities to form new friendships, and have a fun recreational atmosphere with teams as balanced as possible Special requests are not taken Only the head coach and one assistant coach’s children are placed on teams together Teams are randomly selected by computer or by assessments, separated by skill level, age or grade and gender if applicable
