2. Press Release December 2, 2014In its latest version, Porsche designers have given the Cayenne an even sharperdesign with precise lines and purposefully placed light refracting edges. Front body,front wings, bonnet and air blades are also newly shaped.At first glance, the new Cayenne is a Porsche through and through with its bi-xenonheadlights and four-point LED daytime running lights. The new layout of the modelsrear lights creates a three-dimensional effect with the brake lights designed in fourelements. The license plate, boot handle and lights are now integrated moreelegantly into the boot lid. In addition to other modifications, the newly developedexhaust tailpipes are now incorporated in the lower rear section, while anautomatically activating boot lid is fitted as standard.In the interior, much of the layout has been shaped around the driver, with a newmultifunction sport steering wheel which can also be found in the 918 Spyder featuring shift paddles as standard. The rear seating system is even morecomfortable, with optional seat ventilation now available for the first time. The newCayenne also boasts of standard features like air suspension with Porsche ActiveSuspension Management, Porsche Entry and Drive, four-zone auto climate controland panorama sunroof. Thethree-litre V6 engine in the Cayenne Diesel produces 245 hp from 3,800 to 4,400 rpmand has a fuel consumption of 7.7 l/100 km. In interplay with its torque of 550 Newtonmetres from 1,750 to 2,750 rpm, the car can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.6seconds (7.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package), and has a top speedof 218 km/h. The 4.2-litre V8 engine of the Cayenne S Diesel produces 385 hp at3,750 rpm and a torque of 850 Newton metres from 2,000 to 2,750 rpm. From astandstill, it reaches 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds (5.3 seconds with the optionalSport Chrono package). Its top speed is 252 km/h with fuel consumption of 8.0 l/100km.The all-new 3.6-litre V6 bi-turbo engine of the Cayenne S which has been fullydeveloped by Porsche returns fuel consumption between 9.5 and 9.8 l/100 km. Thisrepresents one litre less than with the previous V8 engine. The bi-turbo V6 developsa maximum power of 420 hp at 6,000 rpm a gain of 20 hp. The car's torque of 550Newton metres (+50 Newton metres) is available from 1,350 to 4,500 rpm. The powerdensity per litre of displacement is now 117 hp, a gain of almost 40 percent. With itsstandard eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the Cayenne S accelerates from zeroto 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds (5.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chronopackage) 0.4 seconds faster than the previous Cayenne S. The vehicle's top speedis 259 km/h.Leading the model field is the compelling Cayenne Turbo, powered by a 4.8-litrebi-turbo V8 engine that produces 520 hp at 6,000 rpm and 750 Newton metres oftorque from 2,250 to 4,000 rpm. This lets the Cayenne Turbo accelerate from zero to100 km/h in a mere 4.5 seconds (4.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chronopackage). Its top speed is 279 km/h.
