hEllO AND WElCOME to JDRF’s TypeOneNation Summit Oregon/SW Washington 2015
Today is a big day! We are honored to be involved as Co-Chairs of the Summit and to have a hand in creating this program as a day of inspiration and education for everyone affected by T1D . As members of the Board of Directors of JDRF, Oregon/SW Washington Chapter we are glad to help the Oregon/SW Washington Chapter provide such a meaningful experience .
Those affected by T1D know the frustration and danger of this disease . The new technological advances and information available to help manage diabetes is making a definite difference in the lives of so many . The Mission of JDRF to turn type one into type none is getting closer every day to reality .
Today, we are providing speakers and exhibitors who have a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to share about living well with T1D now . You also have the opportunity to connect with others at this event who are living with T1D or those who have someone dear to them that lives with T1D .
When you return home, be a part of JDRF’s Mission to cure, better treat and prevent T1D . Every day, JDRF Staff and Volunteers all over the world actively work to achieve this Mission . If you are not already involved, please consider being a volunteer, advocate and donor . The Chapter has many ways to be involved . JDRF was founded by Volunteers and they are the catalyst and provide motivation and volunteer time that helps our Chapter be so successful .
Thank you for being here today!

Since 1923, families managing type 1 diabetes have inspired us to create and support programs that bring out the very best in our community. It’s part of our mission that goes beyond insulin and healthcare—we want to help families managing type 1 diabetes live life to the fullest.
No matter where the patient is on their diabetes journey—child or adult, college years or golden years— Lilly Diabetes is there, for big and little moments along the way, with resources and programs. In proud collaboration with JDRF, we can continue to support, inspire, and pave the way for those to come.
