How to Survive, Thrive and Manage the Politics at your ClubPresented by david Bancroft-Turner, Joint Managing director, The Academy of Political intelligence, Uk.

David returns by popular demand to repeat his ‘sold out’ sessions from 2014.

Political behaviour is alive and well in golf clubs, schools and councils. This session will help you to recognise and manage politics more effectively, provide you with tips and suggestions to improve perfomance and introduce you to the four different political animals that exist in a workplace.

Benefits of attendingl Recognise political activities and how to man-

age more effectivelyl Design appropriate responses for positive out-

comes l Create more productive and effective working

relationshipsl Reduce frustration, anxiety and stressl Work productively with people you don’t likel Get things done in your organisation in spite of

the ‘politics’l Not becoming a ‘victim’*Spaces in this workshop are extremely limited so please book in early to avoid missing out.

Stress management strategies for maintaining quality turfPresented by Jack Fry. Ph.d. - Professor, kansas State University

Dr. Jack Fry is a Professor in the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources at the Kansas State University. There, he teaches courses in turfgrass culture and golf course and sports turf operations, and conducts research on turfgrass environmental stressors, establishment and pest control.

In this workshop Dr Jack Fry will provide an overview of basic growth characteristics and environmental adaptation of various turfgrasses. He will examine major environmental stresses that cause decline in turf performance and explain physiological reasons behind stress injury in turf.

Finally, he will discuss management strategies to prevent stress injury and how to maintain high quality turf when water availability is an issue, during hot summer months, cold winter months and under shaded conditions.

T he Australian Turfgrass Conference and Trade Exhibition provides a dynamic environment focused on giving delegates a constructive

experience at the right price. The conference element provides valuable, effective education while the trade exhibition presents the opportunity to learn about the latest products and resources.

The key changes to the 2015 conference are that breakfast will be served in the Trade Show on the Wednesday and Thursday mornings to allow more flexibility with scheduling. Friday will see a BIG HOLE Golf Scramble at Cypress Lakes that will be fast and fun.

MondAy WorkSHoP rEGiSTrATion The Monday workshops are inclusive to all fully registered early bird delegates. A charge of $110 will be made to fully registered delegates who book after 1 May 2015.

Day delegates will pay the full ‘daily rate’ and nominate Monday on the registration form.
