• Xavier made its 10th NCAA Tourna-ment appearance in 11 years. XU is one of only nine schools that can say that.

• Xavier was 11-4 against teams in the 2016 NCAA Tournament field, includ-ing XU’s first-ever win over the eventual National Champion.

• Xavier, 28-6 overall, tied for the sec-ond-most wins in school history with the 1989-90 team and was only two shy of the record (30 in 2007-08).

• Xavier, 28-6, recorded its third straight 20-win season.

• Xavier was second in the BIG EAST reg-ular season race at 14-4, its most wins and highest finish in three years in the league. XU recorded a nation’s best 34th consecutive season at .500 or better in conference play.

• Xavier earned a school-record final ranking of No. 9 in the AP Poll, its 14th straight week in the AP Top 10.

• Xavier was ranked No. 11 in the final post-tournament USA Today Coaches Poll, its 17th straight appearance in the weekly USA Today Coaches Poll.

• Xavier was a school-record No. 5 in the AP Poll for five weeks (Jan. 18, Feb. 8, Feb. 22, Feb. 29 and March 7). XU reached a school-record No. 4 in the Feb. 8 USA Today Coaches Poll.

• Xavier was 6-1 against the AP Top 25, including a 3-0 mark vs. the AP Top 10 .

• Xavier took home the Advocare Invitational Championship (photo on page 83), winning its first regular season championship since the 2008 Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

• Chris Mack was the 2015-16 Henry Iba USBWA National Coach of the Year as well as the CBS Sports and Basketball Times National Coach of the Year. Mack is Xavier’s first-ever National Coach of the Year.

• Xavier had seven different players that led the team in scoring at least twice.

• Sophomore Trevon Bluiett, 2015-16 USA Today Sports Third Team All-American and All-BIG EAST First Team, was NABC and USBWA All-District.

• Senior James Farr, who was on Sports Illustrated’s All-Glue Team, led Xavier in rebounding at 7.8 rpg. (third in the BIG EAST).

• Junior Myles Davis was second in the BIG EAST in free throw percentage at 85.4 percent.

• Freshman Edmond Sumner, a unanimous BIG EAST All-Freshman Team selection, was a Kyle Macy Freshman All-American (collegeinsider.com).

• Sophomore J.P. Macura, BIG EAST Conference Sixth Man Award winner, averaged 10.6 ppg. over the last 15 games.
