despair and in need of assistance.

P&F NEWS

Happy Easter The P&F would like to wish all our families a safe and happy Easter and school holidays. We hope you get time to recharge the batteries and enjoy time with family and friends. If you are travelling, stay safe. The first school term has flown by and we suspect Term 2 will be the same. Coming up in Term 2 for the P&F we have the Mothers’ Day stall, our first working bee and a potential movie night. Stay tuned for more information on these. Our next meeting will be the first week back on the 22nd April at 7pm in the school library. All are welcome. Some of the items discussed at our last meeting were:

Mothers’ Day stall – coordination and volunteers.

Working Bee – date set for 2nd May, stay tuned for details of the help needed.

Boonah Show Gates – this year we will offer this as a fundraising opportunity for parents of students in Years 4 and 5 to bring down the cost of the Canberra trip in 2016.

If you have any P&F matters you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to send Andrew Conway an email. Thank you. Andrew Conway P&F President [email protected]

GUIDANCE NEWS

123 Magic and Emotion

Coaching Program©

at All Saints’

Learn how to manage your child’s challenging

behaviours

Almost all children will behave in ways that challenge

their parents at some time. This could be for a range

of reasons but all children benefit from clear, calm

and consistent behaviour support from parents. That

can be difficult sometimes as they do push our

buttons, don’t they? But this is made easier by sorting

behaviour into types and knowing what strategies to

use with each type of behaviour, even when we are in

the heat of the moment.

If you would like to learn how to do this, come and be

part of the 123 Magic© and Emotion Coaching

program I am running next term. This program shows

parents how to combine positive praise or rewards,

with signalling, age appropriate consequences and

emotion coaching, all of which help children to learn

to regulate their own behaviour reducing the need for

you to intervene as often in the future. 123 Magic©

has been praised by parents for its simplicity but

effectiveness. SAVE THESE DATES !

The program will run for 1 ½ hours on Wednesday

afternoons in Week 3, 4 and 5 in Term 2 (that’s the

6th, 13th and 20th May). It will be after school – time

to be confirmed. The cost will be $10 to cover the

cost of the take-home workbook (1 book per couple –

it would be great if both parents can attend!). If you

would like more information contact me at the school

on Wednesdays or ask at the school office.
