THE PIGGY BANKThis beginner-level progression park contains smaller, graduated features and terrain aimed at novice or young riders. Here you can test and build your skills before moving on into our more challenging Vault Terrain Park. Helmets are required.

THE VAULTWith more than 40 features and a dedicated jump line, the Vault is one of Ontario’s premier terrain parks. This 5.5 acre park is geared for more experienced riders who want to up the ante and progress to more advanced features. A park pass and helmet are required to access the Vault.

A 2014/15 Park Pass and valid membership or lift ticket are required to access Brimacombe’s advanced terrain park – the Vault.

Park Passes are available to anyone 8 years of age or older and are valid for the entire season in which they are purchased.

Register for your Park Pass in advance at brimacombe.ca/parkpass by completing a short online training program and quiz, or complete the program in person at Brimacombe’s Main Office in the East Chalet.

Please Note: All riders under 18 years of age will require a parent/guardian signature on the Park Pass waiver. All signatures must also be witnessed by someone over the age of 18.

A Park Pass is not required for the Piggy Bank terrain park. Helmets are mandatory in both terrain parks.

FRIDAY NIGHT ADULT RACE TRAINING

Join our certified race coaches on the slopes for two hours every Friday night for skills, drills and the opportunity to apply those lessons in a gate/race course environment. A great option for past-racers, parents of racers or those who simply want to hone their skills and have some fun.

BRIMACOMBE RACING JUNIOR RACE PROGRAM

In this junior race ski development program, racers will receive weekly training by certified coaches, and participate in Alpine Ontario sanctioned races. Program includes pre-season dryland training, December holiday camp and an end of season banquet.

PEE WEE SKI CAMP 90 MINUTES, 6 WEEKSOPEN TO AGES 6 – 12

TAILORED TO BEGINNERSA fun, basic introduction to skiing, designed for campers with little to no experience on the slopes. Make your child’s first experiences memorable, as they develop new friendships along with basic skiing skills, including important safety lessons.

INSTRUCTOR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

6.75 HOURS, 8 WEEKSINCLUDES UP TO 3 HOURS OF TRAINING WEEKLY

PLUS MINIMUM 24 VOLUNTEER HOURSFOR ADVANCED SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS AGES 14 & UP

Designed for those interested in becoming instructors in the near future, this program prepares apprentices with valuable training and experience working alongside certified professionals.

Each day includes on-hill training with Brimacombe’s pros followed by hands-on experience as a volunteer counsellor at the Pee Wee Ski Camp and/or assistant at Brimacombe Snow School.

In addition to practical experience, apprentices receive valuable on-snow and indoor training that helps prepare them for the Level 1 Instructor Certification Course offered separately through either the Canadian Ski Instructor Association (CSIA) or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI).

All volunteers will be interviewed for potential employment with Brimacombe Snow School once Level 1 certification is acheived.Please note: Apprentices are required to attend both the Orientation and Training Session on Nov. 30, 2014 to confirm program expectations and schedule, as well as the On-Hill Training Session on Sat. Jan. 3, 2015.

Volunteer hours can be credited towards High School Community Service hours. Apprentices are eligible to receive up to 100% back on the cost of the program depending on the number of volunteer hours completed.
