CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

THIS SHOW WILL BE CONDUCTED UNDER THE ARABIAN HORSE SOCIETY CURRENT RULE BOOK AND THE

FOLLOWING SA ARABS Inc RULES

1. The lodging of any entry shall bind the exhibitor to the conditions of entry and the regulations set out here in and the signature of any exhibitor on the entry form shall constitute acceptance of these conditions

2. SA ARABS Inc Committee shall have the power without giving reason to:

Reject or cancel any entry at any time

Alter the time of the scheduled event or class starting time

Remove any exhibitor from the showground for displaying abuse towards their horse.

Combine any classes 3. Rings will not be held up for competitors who have clashing classes. However every endeavour will be made

to ensure that clashes do not occur. 4. Stallions and colts will not be permitted to be handled, ridden, or driven by any person under 18yrs whilst on

the show grounds. 5. All exhibits, including foals, must be registered with the respective breed societies and the registration

number must be quoted on the entry form. A photo copy of the registration certificate MUST accompany entries. Pending registrations are not acceptable. Ages of the horses/ponies are referenced to the 1

st August

convention. 6. All horses, excluding foals, must be able to be identified by their brands and or markings in accordance with

the Certification of Registration issued by the Society. Change of coat colour or adding white markings is prohibited and may result in disqualification

7. SA ARABS Inc shall not be held responsible for loss of or damage or injury occasioned to any exhibitor or to the property of any exhibitor for any cause what so ever.

8. The exhibitor and exhibits enter entirely at their own risk. In any case of an exhibit, whilst on the showgrounds, causing or being the cause of injury or damage to any other exhibitor or exhibit, OR to the person or property of ANY member of SA ARABS Inc or its officers, the general public, each owner of such exhibit shall indemnify SA ARABS Inc, its officers, officials and members from and against all damages, costs, claims, expenses or liabilities incurred with such incident. The exhibitor shall be liable to SA ARABS Inc its officers, officials and members for any damage or loss occasioned to any of them by the exhibit or exhibitors or agents.

9. SA Arabs Inc has a Risk Management Policy ( incl Hot weather policy & Child Safe Policy ) and all exhibitors are encouraged to read this document available at :-

http://www.sa-arabs.org/Risk%20Management%20Policy%20-%20June%202010.pdf 10. A horse that in the opinion of the judge/steward or committee has been subject to abuse or shows whip

marks will not be judged. 11. PROTESTS: The following persons may lodge a protest - Competitors or Exhibitors in the disputed Class or

any Show Official. The protest must be lodged within ONE HOUR of the completion of the event or class. Protests must be accompanied by $50.00 cash, refundable if the protest is upheld.

12. DISPUTES COMMITTEE: The Disputes Committee will be made up of the following:

a) One Committee Member. b) The Show Manager and/or Ring Master. c) One Competitor. No member of this Committee may hear a protest in a Section of the Show in which he/she is exhibiting or competing. The Judge of the Section concerned may be consulted. The decision of the Committee is final and binding.

13. Exhibitors will not be allowed to enter the ring once judging has commenced. 14. The Judge’s decision is final. 15. The age of Junior competitors will be calculated from the first day of the show. Copy of Birth Certificate may

be requested. 16. INSURANCE

A Liability Declaration Form must be completed by each handler / rider / groom who is either an AHSA Ltd member or an AHSA Ltd Affiliate member or a member of another Equine Association or who holds a current insurance policy that provides 24/7 Public Liability .Proof of membership or insurance must be provided. A Liability Declaration Form and a Registered Participant Application must be completed by each handler / rider / groom who is NOT an AHSA Ltd member or an AHSA Ltd Affiliate member or a member of another Equine Association or does not hold a current insurance policy that provides 24/7 Public Liability Insurance. A fee of $10 per day of participation is required. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED IF PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP IS NOT PROVIDED OR DAY INSURANCE IS NOT PAID.

ALLPERSONS WHO WILL BE HANDLING HORSES MUST HAVE INSURANCE COVERAGE

17. APPROVED HELMETS MUST BE WORN IN ALL RIDDEN AND HARNESS CLASSES

The Following Events are Restricted: For Riders & Handlers 10yrs & under whom may need to be led or verbally assisted and may only be able to walk & trot.. Handlers & Riders in these events are not eligible to compete in any of the following Open led, ridden, handler, rider or harness events. All assistants must be competent, 15yrs and over and whom the parents take full responsibility for. All riders, handlers and their assistants must be covered by and included on a PASA Inc. membership.
